A lot of it is trial and error, but I usually try to find the shortest pairs I can find since my natural lashes are short! I also find the really long ones with clear bands droop down on my lids (this goes for anyone with hooded lids) so I tend to look for lashes with a black band since it helps give the lash some strength to stay up.

I remember when I first went to look for monoeyelid makeup tutorials I got so frustrated and wished I had double eyelids.Then I came along and saw your amazing videos that let me know that I can still do beautiful makeup with monoeyelids. You made me realize that I don't have ugly eyes but beautifully shaped eyes! Without you I swear I would've never started making my own Makeup Tutorials because I aspire to be like you and make girls more confident with their natural beauty!Thanks for being you

1. To remove, I apply a bit of water at the base of the lashes, then pull up gently starting at one corner. Then, carefully pull off the glue from the lash band & store. 2. As long as they aren't losing shape or falling apart, you can reuse them. You can spray Parian Spirit on them to disinfect before storing as well. 3. Yes you can, but I only recommend mascara over fake lashes if you are only using them once and tossing.
@frmheadtotoe12 жыл бұрын
I know you say curling won't work, but it's probably the mascara you are using. Only certain waterproof mascaras hold my curl so try Covergirl Lash Exact Waterproof mascara and curl right at the base of lashes, then middle, then ends. It should help hold up & blend your lashes in!
@frmheadtotoe12 жыл бұрын
Apply a thin layer of glue on the end circumference of the thinnest brush handle you have. Then roll it under the lash band that has lifted, making sure you get glue on the corner that lifted. Press the lash back into place and hold for 10 seconds and you should be good as new! It's a good idea to bring liner with you too to fix any parts that were removed in the process. ;)
@frmheadtotoe12 жыл бұрын
You might try trimming the lashes a little shorter and applying them more toward your outer corners, so it starts closer to 1/3 of your eyelid. Just make sure to trim on the outer half of the lash so the shorter length (inner corners) still look natural. :)
@readyemi12 жыл бұрын
You can think that way but she made a big difference on my outlook on having mono eyelids. I really wanted to get plastic surgery because society had given the idea that without double eyelids I'd be considered ugly. She taught me self confidence even if it was indirectly I'. happy that she did that. I'm just trying to be appreciative and letting her know that her videos make a huge impact on some people. So I don't apologize about just having mono eyelids because it's more than that to me!

I tend to avoid applying mascara over false lashes if I ever want to reuse them because it gets messy to remove. If you really, really want to salvage a pair you've already put mascara on, try rubbing a bit of oil-based make up remover on the lash fibers (avoid the band) and then wash with soap + water and pat to dry right away.

I love that brand of eyelashes. Thank you so much for trying on the different pairs of lashes on, when I am at the store they all just looks so tempting for me to buy them all. By you trying them on enables me to get an idea of how each type would fit for the its own occasions. You are one of the few videos that was able to let me play entirely without me fast forwarding, which means you have created something I found to be all useful that deserves the running length. Will subscribe.

I'm not a doctor to say exactly what could be damaging, but I imagine that wearing very heavy lashes and ripping them off without being gentle multiple times could stretch eyelid skin and cause droopiness. In my experience using eyelid tape regularly caused more stretching than lashes. Just be very gentle and don't force the lashes off and you should be fine. :)

Very helpful :) I had questions but you've already answered them. There's another tip I learnt elsewhere. Sometimes the lashes don't look natural because the lash is too long at the inner corner of your eyes. You can move it such that it starts at the inner edge of your pupil. Most lashes are ok though.. Just don't apply it too close to the inner corner of your eye.

Jen! I love your videos! Thank you for teaching us your helpful tips. I tried putting on fake lashes eons ago with no success. I used the drug store brands and they did not work. I will definitely look into the Asian brands. Thanks so much! I love your energy and spirit!

Thanks for this vid; I love to see the different types and different looks. I am Asian/Chinese and wear short criss-cross ones I got when I lived in Japan. They also look more natural but I am curious about trying the other styles. It took a lot of practice & I can put them on in 1 min. I do agree; I mainly wear them for photography; they add more definition to my eyes and make them look bigger. I have double-lids and short natural lashes. Most people can't even tell that I'm wearing falsies!

Love your vids! Applying false lashes was very uncomfortable for me when I tried with fingers. I just couldn't get it where I wanted it to be. For those who try fingers and it just doesn't turn out well, I recommend using tweezers. Prep the lashes the same in terms of sizing and glue, but for application, look downward into a mirror and use the tweezers (I hold lashes lightly in the middle) to apply and adjust the lash band. Easy, quick, no mess :)

I'd like to see how you take them off and clean them. I always wonder how many times you can wear the same pair of faux lashes before you have to throw them away and use a new pair. Also, is it common for faux lashes to lift and not stay in place during the day and how many hours (in your experience) after does it start to lift? Does the brand of glue matter in keeping them on longer? Thanks so much!

hi jen! i LOVE all of ur videos and being asian i have learned a lot from u. I just have a quick question; when ure out and ur lashes start to lift, how do u reapply the glue? do u take ur lashes completely off, or do u somehow put the glue on the lifting lash? i would love to see how that's done because i completely understand how embarrassing it is to go out and have your lashes lifting later on in the night. thanks so much and keep up the great work! I always look forward to your new videos!

I usually just run mine under cold water for a bit and gently wash them. Most people tell me not to use lashes for more than like 10 times. But to me I feel like as long as its cleaned and not falling up its good for another go xD as for taking it off, just gently start from the outer corner while using your other hand to hold down your eyelid...hope that helps.

@ennaphillips861911 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can reuse most fake lashes (if they are good enough quality - mine are Sonia Kashuk, about $4 at Target) for as long as you take good care of them. You get them off by either pinching one end and slowly peeling it off your lashes (sounds painful, but it doesn't really hurt) or using a wet cloth to gently rub away the glue, which is what you're supposed to do, however I find this method sometimes bends the lashes out of shape. I hope I helped!
