Yes, I am on maternity leave currently. I didn't meet the criteria for maternity allowance because I was not yet 6 months with my current employer then. But I am getting my maternity pay which is supposed to last till September but I don't have to stay at home till September, so I am ending it soon as I go back to work

I am currently in my 5th month working with the company and I'm already 31weeks gone. I earn more than £120 per week. Yes you can, you need to present payslip for only 12 or 13 weeks to the department of works as part of your application. You will be qualified

@@deborahoyebisi She is not a British citizen but her child is because the father was a British citizen when he was born. Her application to join him in the UK was on when he died. The UKVI then asked her to withdraw the application and made her a refund of all the application fee. Isn't it ironic? I appreciate you response, ma'am.

they actually access you for maternity allowance first and if you don’t meet that then they will access you on SMP because SMP is usually lower. Also depends on how long you have worked at that company for MP and how long you have been paying NI Tax for SMP

Hi Tochi please I just got to the UK on the 7th June 2023 and I'm 33 weeks already as a dependent. I haven't started any work yet as I'm trying to settle in and see if I can get any remote job to work from home because I may be giving birth around 36/37 weeks.
