Once you create an UKVI account, might take a couple days (for me 3 weeks) before the form appeared. Had already received 2 reminders to complete and each time there was no 'form' to start the process. Be patient, log in after couple days or week and see if it appears. Elsewhere here and other videos users are asked to re-install app, think this is unnecessary. So be patient. When it comes to using the App, make sure the phone settings allow for NFC (contactless payment) and this is enabled, the app is allowed to access camera too. Also, if you have a phone protector, remove it when you scanning the chip otherwise you will do this a dozen time each failing. All the best all!

An update: Even after going through the 'marathon' of setting up, got the email saying 'view evisa' but logged in and again, nothing showed. Patience once again and just logged in after couple days and the end game is here.

Some people have complained about a similar problem. They haven’t shared how the rectified the problem, unfortunately I can’t help you. I can only share some suggestions that could work. Give it a rest and try another day. Try using a passport instead of the BRP card or another 📱 phone. If problem persist, call the government. I know someone who already had an eVisa because it was created when she use the UK immigration ID Check app instead of attending a biometric appointment. My BRP expired in September 2024 and applied for the settlement and waiting for the decision it takes upto six months for the decision from the home office. I created the ukvi account and used the expired BRP but i can only see to change my contact details email/mobile number on my account. Can I create a new ukvi account with my new visa application number? I hope someone knows the answer.

Hi. I finally found the solution. If you use the brp to register and not working. Create an account again and use your passport. If you use your passport and did not work please use the BRP. I did this and it works. I created a new account again using my passport as the brp didnt work for me. Hope this helps

Did you get a “View your eVisa” email but when you click on the link in the email, it is not allowing you to view it? Are you asking whether others got an invitation to Convert your BRP to an eVisa? @@cynthiaacademy Yes, that's correct although I did everything correctly, scanning IDs, etc. I contacted the home office using the chat feature on their website but they said it's a technical issue (like i thought). I also knew it's working because when i tried to get my right to rent code, my photo was changed to the one (new selfie) I took when creating my account. So, I'm just waiting for them now to contact me regarding it cos i need to be able to view it soon as I'm applying for my ILR in December and will need to apply through my eVisa account. Thank you

Do you mean that the app on your phone doesn’t provide you the option of choosing what means you would like to connect with your application? QR Code or Connection code? Please what this video again slowly so that you know what you need to expect. Note when I decide to switch to the application on the laptop and when I switched to the UK immigration: ID check app. Perhaps you need to uninstall it and reinstall it again. All the best!

Oh dear! So many people are experiencing this same problem. Can you try your passport instead of BRP or perhaps contact the eVisa department to report your issue. I pray that this gets resolved. For some reason my full name is coming in the surname section leaving the given name section absolutely blank . Not sure if anyone else faced this issue as well. Oh dear! That was my main challenge. Make sure your phone is amongst the required brands they asked. You can borrow someone’s phone to do I assume. When you get to that stage, first place the phone of the BRP, once it tells you to move it, move the phone slowly on the body of the BRP so that it can detect the chip, once it detects the chip and states that you should leave it, do so. The green bar will keep increasing until it completely reads the chip. I hope this helps! All the best!

Hello. I've done mine too, and I was even sent an email to have access to my evisa, which I have viewed and confirmed the information. But, I received a message from the home office a few days ago that "We have noticed that you have not completed your Dependant Partner application". What do you think I should do? Cos the link in the email sent took me back to my evisa, and everything seems complete. Thank you.

Oh dear! Apologies I have read about this situation before. I have only heard about this particular email when the main applicant is applies to switch visa without their dependents. You might have to report this situation to the eVisa Helpline. Perhaps ask your dependent partner to complete their eVisa before you send a report.
