Absolute fantastic info for those who wish to have it explained in plain language. Loved the out of state elk video also.....thanks again, From a neighbor in the Black Hills of S.D.....(where we wish so badly we had the same type of regs for tags for residents of the Hills....sheesh ) R.C. What zones would you recommend for a non resident youth hunter who just wants a antelope buck
@AltitudeOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
The Eastern side of the state is going to be easier to draw. Western has a lot more public land.

You get west of Kansas you need an attorney to apply for you.

Hi, I've been hunting whitetails for over 15 years in Virginia but I've always wanted to hunt antelope. Since I retired last year and I have time, I'm planning and hoping to hunt next year in Wyoming. Do you know any landowner or where I could search for the landowners who allow access to hunt antelopes on their property (units with good drawing odds) for a fee or free? I'm mostly a meat hunter so I prefer does over buck. Thanks for your vid.

David, one of the best resources to contact is the Wyoming game and fish dept. In many areas, they have landowner lists for ranchers who will allow access. I bet you could knock some doors and get some traction, especially if you're after does. Good luck!

How much would it cost to apply for a NR deer and antelope tag? If I do not draw either how much of a refund do you get?
@AltitudeOutdoors5 жыл бұрын
Deer is $374 plus $15 application fee, Antelope is $326 plus $15 app fee. They're also charging a CC processing fee now that is non-refundable. So you'll be out $30 plus the Credit Card Fees. If you decide to pay for the special draw, you'll pay more. And if you buy preference points that will be more as well.

I'm a born and raised city boy and have no knowledge of hunting. I didn't even know you had to apply to be able to hunt. Is there a book or anything that breaks down everything about hunting for someone like myself?

Nice video, and thanks for all the information Ben. I live in Nevada, and am thinking of putting in for antelope in Wyoming. I’ve been reading up on Wyoming’s fish and game website, and it is stated somewhere that out of state big game hunters need to be accompanied by an outfitter to hunt federal land? Can you fill me in a little more information please? Thanks in advance Ben.
@AltitudeOutdoors7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Non Residents who hunt in Wyoming only need to be accompanied by an outfitter if hunting in a designated wilderness area. This is forest service land that has a special designation.

thank you for taking the time to make these videos, a lot of good info here. As an Oregon resident, I understand the preference point system, but Wyoming sounds a little more complicated. are there tags for deer/antelope that can be drawn first year? can a person buy a preference point rather than apply? I need to do more research and look forward to your next video!
@AltitudeOutdoors7 жыл бұрын
Ben, thanks for watching -- glad it is of some value to you. Yes, you can apply for preference points only. The purchase period for preference points is July 1 to October 31 -- if you watch the next video (it's pretty boring) but I'll go through the website and show you where to find the link, how to look up draw odds, season dates, etc.
