Not encouraged, especially if France is supposed to be your point of entry and/or your country of longest stay. You might be held up upon your arrival and/or denied a Schengen visa in the future

We went for 3 weeks. Expenses really depends on your choices. We stayed in fairly moderate places but still it was not cheap😞

Yes you can apply all together. That way you will have biometrics and visa interviews together

Yes, I believe so. All the Schengen countries have single visa form, so I think it’s what you will need.
