Are you having any issues with applying Stone Coat's Ultimate Top Coat?
Let me know in the comments below if you have any questions and/or the success you have had with UTC.
Having great success with the Ultimate Top Coat I wanted to share how I apply it, in this case to two cornhole boards. The Ultimate Top Coat provides an additional layer of extremely durable protection over nearly any surface coming in a Natural (satin) and Gloss finish. UTC is applied over all of my countertop projects for its durability as well as being fully cured after 48 hours.
Chapter Breakdown:
0:00 Title description - How to apply Stone Coat's Ultimate Top Coat Gloss with an additional experiment.
0:10 - Explaining the project
1:08 - Explaining the UTC Gloss mixing ratio and method
4:30 - Applying the UTC with the wet roller
6:00 - Backrolling with the wet roller prior to dry rolling
6:25 - The dry rolling process
9:00 - Explaining how the UTC Gloss will dry
11:08 - Applying Gloss over UTC Matte experiment
The experiment is applying UTC Gloss over a sample board that had UTC Natural applied prior and was fully cured, as well as applying UTC Gloss over a sample board with just epoxy. Instead of sanding the UTC Natural completely smooth I simply scuffed it with 220 grit as I did the 2nd piece that just had an epoxy finish. I wanted to see if the sheen would be similar on both, or different due to going over the UTC Natural.
