Thank you for your video, how did you get the coalescence? did you use a damage law?
@MichaelOkereke3 ай бұрын
The coalescence came from a plastic-deformation of the material. You can include damage but not so here. I did not use a damage law, it was simply the large deformation (stretching) of small connecting segments between the voids which on finite elongation, merges with adjacent voids leading to the coalesce. True representation of this feature will involve voids since at a defined deformation limit, the tendrils (connections) fracture and then the voids will coalesce truly. Hope the explanation makes sense.

@@MichaelOkereke thank you for your reply. It is clear. However, coalescence occurs also between voids inside cube far of edges?

Great video. Very informative. Thank you. What does your finite elements book cover?

Thanks. The best way to know is to look at the Google books 📚 of the book, which you can access directly via this link: books.google.co.uk/books/about/Finite_Element_Applications.html?id=j-xIDwAAQBAJ&printsec=frontcover&source=kp_read_button&hl=en&newbks=1&newbks_redir=0&gboemv=1&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q&f=false
