I've done this to one of my bibles. I use them as markers for each book(only the first page of chapter) For example the skeleton washi from Michael's holiday box...I used for Ezekiel.

This is such a fun technique for journalling. I actually have been doing this in my travel journals and my travel size book of shadows for years. It makes things smooth and nice looking and easy to find when u need a particular charm or spell. the only downside is sometimes, if the washi tape is cheap, the adhesive seeps through the tape and sticks the pages together. buy good quality washi tape folks!!!

I did mine with 3 inch pieces at the start of each book and graduallly moved the pieces down the pages as I moved through the Bible. I also followed the color wheel (Red - orange -yellow...) and that makes it very pretty. Thanks for the tips on how to be more precise as I may do that on the next Bible!

if you do every page, it will be 3 times the size of the bible... tapering your bible from right to left in height. inclination. But i do see this as a good idea to apply it to specific pages like the beginning of the old testament, and new testament, or just in the first page of the new testament to divide it between the old testament and have easier quicker navigation across throuh reference guidance

I started this in my Bible and it seems to be making the edges thicker and distorting the shape of the Bible. It is a hardback. Did you have this problem? I mean its thicker on the edges of course, but does it affect it much?

Love this idea. How would you add washi tape that has a design such as birds? If you fold it over it would cut the design in half and part would be upside down. Help?

If I could fold it down with just the little margin on top, I would. Otherwise I would do one strip on one side and another strip on the other side :)
