I think the most profound thing she said in this talk was at the end, about the prisoners who were forced to recognise the reality of their situation and change their minds. I think in many ways we're all prisoners and most just don't realise. Prisoners to our jobs, families, expectations, beliefs, thoughts, opinions etc. and ultimately to sickness and death. The only thing we can ever really change is how we choose to react and operate under these conditions. Well said by Robina and the Buddha. :)

Venerable Robina is amazing as always! I love the clarity in her teachings. I missed meeting her in Toronto in April this year, and I wish I had! I hope I can remedy that soon!

Great talk. She has me hooked. I must find out a bit more about her. She's quite overpowering, but in a good way - I had to take several coffee breaks during the talk.

she makes me get nervous when talking (too fast in my view for a lecture about dhamma). It's my imagination or she looks like angry/aggressive every time she talks?
@lorencapsopoulos80925 жыл бұрын
Same as my thinking. Although she has very good points, the delivery seems aggressive and not compassionate at all. I've watched some of her other videos and have seen her as rude to people allowed to ask questions. She cuts them off and is patronizing. Talks way too fast.
