Ooft! Some gold in here Omri… That wonderful noise from 14:35 got an “OH YEAH” from me too! Looking forward to experimenting with some of these ideas. Cheers man 👍🍄

Omri, I have to stop watching your videos before going to sleep. Now I'm as impatient as a child waiting to open the presents for Christmas. I can't wait to try these feedback methods. The sound is epic. Tonight I'll be dreaming of mixers and delay modules and tomorrow at work probably too^^. Thanks for this video.

This is really creative. That's why I love VCV Rack. It has something which other DAWs don't have.

Yeah, the modular environment is very unique

Btw, if you're using MindMeld's mixer you can use sends to create feedback loops. Connect send outputs to your effects, but instead of connecting them to return, connect them to standart channels (1 to 8, or 16). Now you can mix this return back to send. Furthermore you can mix it to other sends as well, and even create cross-feedback loops and more!
@OmriCohen-Music3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, true, that can be very interesting indeed!
@exoner61103 жыл бұрын
Yeah, and do not forget to have a look at MindMelt's AUX-settings in the rightclick-menu (fe. pre-/post-fader-settings). You might also turn off the feedback-protection in the "Routing returns to groups"-section in the righ-click-menu (RTFM!) to get the fun started. All this may lead to "No Input Mixing" (NIM) as we know it from using hardware mixers. I tried this in VCV Rack several times but my results were always poor. I must do something wrong, still searching ... I also played with self-oscillating filters etc. as sources for NIM. Maybe someone with more knowledge than me will post a video about NIM in VCV Rack some day. @Omri_Cohen: Thank you for encouraging people to experiment and use and patch modules in a non-conventional way. Scream, module, scream. :)

Modulating the parameters with knobs looked like so much more fun than using the mouse. I just bought a Korg nanoKONTROL2 after watching this. Thanks for the awesome vids Omri!
@OmriCohen-Music3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, having hands on control is the whole point of modular I guess. You will enjoy the nanoKontrol :)

Hi. I am looking for ideas to add dynamics on modular. Did you ever make a video on this topic? Thanks for this great channel.
@OmriCohen-Music3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Well, as always in modular, there are many ways of doing something like this, but have a look here - kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZoekioJnqbF8eLs There are a few things you can try.
