I’ve been art journaling for years. I love the process and find it is both a creative process, but also great as an emotional balancing technique.

Love your videos! How different is Matte Modgepodge from the matte gel you are using?
@KerenTamir3 жыл бұрын
thanks so much Judi, it's pretty much the same and you can use it for the same purposes. I find the modgepodge a little bit more Tacky and I don't like when it gets so sticky but that's just preference.

My daughter and I love your channel ♥️🖌️🎨 I'm in the UK and collecting supplies and was wondering, do brushes need to be silicone brushes? I'm struggling to find any and wondering if they're called something else here. Help! 🙂 Thank you!
@KerenTamir5 жыл бұрын
Photapia Therapeutic Photography you can use any brushes. The ones I call Silicone brush is like a palette knife. It’s similar to a kitchen spatula the ones used for cakes. I have links to the products listed below so you can see the difference

Thanks for this. I am a newbie at this process, and you've answered my questions via the process...I understand the reason for the gesso bit, and reason for texture before modelling paste and before water colours; there is a sequence of things to be done.
@KerenTamir2 жыл бұрын
yes there's a sequence to things and that can change too as you experiment. I did that in these videos here: bit.ly/3u9zPgb where I played with the sequence of products in different formulas.

This is so pretty. I love it. I've got some old cuttian lacey fabric that just wants to run and looks so ragged. Thus would be an awesome way to use what I had thought of as useless, but just couldn't bring myself to toss into the bin. Thanks for giving me an idea of how to use it !!!!!

Oh yes june that would be lovely. If you look at some of my videos from january and february of this year you will see me using doilies and even old tea bags. I don't throw anything away I even use old matcha powder to create paint.

@@KerenTamir oh I am delighted to get your reply! Thank you! The most helpful part of your video was that you explained that there is flexibility in what we can do with our pages and that it is ok to experiment. I am struggling to do pages for fear I will mess up. I’ve only done one page all year! Your videos are helping me to feel less afraid. I also really appreciate your teaching style and how thoroughly you explain ways to use the different products for our pages. I can’t wait to watch more of your videos! I really appreciate you!

Oh Amy that is something that I really emphasize when I teach. its good to experiment and it's ok to make mistakes, it's just a page nothing else and its a great way to express ourselves and tell our story. I really want to help people to feel less afraid like you said that's why I have a variety of video styles on my channel from fast forwarded videos to livestream classes to exclusive classes on Patreon that people can ask questions during the class as if I was teaching it live. I just found & subbed to your channel. This inspired me. I thought of something similar, only where the colors & textures are, making them appear as leaves on forest trees. And where the blank spot is, an entrance to the forest. That's just where my mind went. It's great how our minds can see different things even though we're looking at the same thing. I love the stamps. I am going to use your link to them right now. Thanks for the inspiration. TYFS
