some people will look at you differently. but if you go to a hospital, covid is a perfect cover up if you do not want to tell others for the stigma. Seeing as you are so young, a lot will change in life that will make you seem different than before! Things will be different, but in a better way :>) You will be able to learn coping mechanisms for the things that are happening

This video should be on the top page of KZbin. It's so unbelievably helpful! It lays down how stigmas affect mental health and why people who need help and know it's in their best interest to seek help feel lost. I genuinely wish expressing our thoughts and struggles was straightforward and there was a one-size-fits-all cure for suicidality...

if people are told they are able to ask for assistance, then they are more likely to get help, and learn to self realise and self manage... if they are told they need to ask for help, they will not have any feeling of control and will remain feeling helpless for longer... for people who are suffering from stress effects, who are from macho cultures etc... always exceptions.. .but little words can make big differences in a persons psychological response, and considering the psychological nature of all this, we should be using language as best we can, and not with nonchalant disregard for what people who might benefit from help hear from those who are part of the stigma fueling avoidance... depression is an old word that means the plastic deformation dent left in a material after pressure is applied long and hard enough that elastic response isn't possible... that's not too bad for some of what is bundled under it... sadness has very little to do with most depression...

Asking for help in the UK is largely useless. I went to my GP in June wanting assessment for a range of issues: nuero-diversity, gender/sensuality issues, and mood disorder. Since then I was given a couple of CBT sessions where it was agreed it was not relevant for me; referred to a gender specialist who said they had a 5 year waiting list and they wouldn't put me on it until I'd already had a few years of counselling first; was referred to a LGBT counselling service who said they weren't equipped to deal with my sexuality issues; referred to a voluntary counselling service who never got back to me; and had a mental health assessment over the phone and was told I'd been put on a waiting list which I might be on for over a year before having any help. Basically, the NHS just puts you on endless waiting lists and does nothing.

I wish getting help with this wasnt so hard. The only two options are to transition and be put on a 6 year waitung list, and then be treated like garbage by the rest of the world. Or i can not and let the gender dysphoria eat me from the inside. All of my cis male freinds dont understand and it feels awful to watch them have the puberty i should be able to have

Thank you whoever you all are. Also thank you Marie for being supportive/noticing of this (coworker surprisingly). Stigma is a thing for just about anyone. I have made a lot of questionable choices hoping it would end or thinking it would not matter. So much opportunity lost. I think though this could help a bit surprisingly. Well this and some sort of mental health therapy(?), counseling(?). I hear the wait times are bad for military but I will try though. I may watch a few more videos but I think I needed this to move on a bit. Whoever made this thank you. I think it is just about perfect. I hope you are doing ok. I searched for it at a low and decided to watch it anyway a week later during a more minor low. I am tired of being tired. Maybe there can be more as sappy as that sounds?

Thank you for your comment. We want you to know that you’re not alone in how you feel. We share in your frustration with the difficulty many experience while navigating the process of accessing quality and affordable treatment. Visit 211.org or dial 2-1-1 to find affordable resources in your area. The NAMI National Warmline Directory is also a great resource, unlike a hotline for those in immediate crisis, warmlines provide early intervention with emotional support that can prevent a crisis - and a more costly 911 call or ER visit. The lines are typically free, confidential peer-support services staffed by volunteers or paid employees who have experienced mental health conditions themselves. Hello I’m a year 8 for context and I don’t know how to ask for help I’ve started a new school recently and I don’t know what to do everyone is so different I’ve always felt different and between secondary and primary I’ve moved school 4 times and whether it be my breathing issues from birth the high chance of either ADHD or autism in my genetics I have always had a hard time fitting in and whenever I do I move or something goes wrong I feel like I can’t talk to anyone and I have a counsellor but I can’t pluck up the courage to speak to her either because my mother said she would have given a kidney for me to go to this school I’ve been told I’m smart kind and the likes but I don’t feel like it I feel worthless everything I say is met with humiliation and shame I’m beginning to think I’m a waster of space I take up recourses and food other people deserve use electrify that could be going to hospitals and like I can never say these thing in person that I can’t think these things I’m so envious of my brother or sister my dad died when I was 7 and a friend of his told me I was the man of the house and to take care of my family and ever since I’ve hidden feeling even when being bullied and belittled and a previous school but other people have it so much worse and my siblings don’t know what I went through and my brother has autism everything is 10 times as bad for him but he can express himself when he is sad he tells people and receives constant affection I am not treated badly in the slightest I live in a lovely place, a gorgeous house and have everything I could ever want recently I I thought I lost my phone and that lack of connection to my counsellor my family and my only friend was horrible I am on the edge of collapsing but if I do my whole world will come crashing down on top of me why can’t I be like other people I’m the oldest sibling I have to be better but I’ll never be and that terrifies me I get angry for little reasons and feel like I might be depressed but what if I’m going through a phase what if all those people who know they are depressed look down on me I fear being a let down and not good enough for everyone more than anything I’m not religious and lazy I don’t have friends who wouldn’t understand. Please what should I do

For those who are reading, this is true, im not sure if we're just crazy but here's a story: I live in a house in a neighborhood, i was 15 and we have moved and been here for almost 2 months, wierd things have been happening and we continue to ignore it, a while ago we went to a festival with many rides, we've been there for 2 or 3 hours, we came back to find a bag of milk, once we brought them inside we were curious because it had a note saying "for the roses" and we were very curious and confused considering we had a camera doorbell, and once it detects movement we instantly get a notification, but whats wierd is we didint get on, none of us, confused we checked the app.. it was day.. and in a instant the milk just.. appeared, out of the thin air just.. appeared, nobody was there and nobody dropped it off, all we had was a note again saying "for the roses".. I'm 21 and still to this day do not know where and who dropped them off, for 6 years I've been trying to pull up clues or even some type of lead.. but no progress, I've lived in the same house and since thag day all the wierd things happening went away.. and randomly found this song because of the name.. I wanted to tell someone this story hoping I could get some answers or suggestions.. or if I should give up before its too late.. which is what I've heard from everybody I've told this story to that it might just be non sence.. but something tells me I should keep digging.. I'm not sure anymore
