I make my own qsnaps with PVC pipes and elbows! I have all kinds of lengths I have cut so I am not limited to certain sizes!🔨

Ok,so I tried and compared both. Basically if money isn’t a concern, I preferred the Q-Snap brand because I felt it held the fabric more taught, and the fabric laid better, I think because the clamps that hold the fabric on is longer so holds more of the fabric. 😊 However, if on a budget, the cheaper brand worked fine, just not quite as nicely. 🔨

Thanks for this series! I’m a newer stitcher trying to find my perfect setup, so this is really helpful. I have a question: does anyone have advice for when a q-snap goes together wonky? Every time I’m using an extender to try to make a 9 (6+extender) x 11 frame, the frame ends up not laying flat on the table. Maybe I got a defective set? I think I’ll try the dishwasher method, but please comment if anyone has experienced this and there’s a fix I’m missing!
