I don’t remember having to bend anything, although the flat bars that screw down to hold the basket so bend some when secured with the bolts. Enjoy your trike. Thanks for the compliments.

@whatsstephendoing36503 жыл бұрын
I'm not entirely sure what you are describing, but the derailed is shows in my video somewhere around 4 minutes in. With the trike upside down, the derailed is installed sort of standing up, but tilted a little back. If yours is like mine, there is a square side that leans against the bike frame as you tighten the bolt. The bolted joint doesn't move, but the end with the derailed cogs, should be able to push and spring back into position. Hope that helps.

Hi, this video is super helpful. I am missing the seat post, do you happen to know what size seat post I need? Thank you in advance
@whatsstephendoing36502 жыл бұрын
I’m not a bike expert, but I think the seat posts are fairly standard. You can try to contact the manufacturer and see if they will send you one, or if you prefer you can probably visit a Walmart / Target and they may have. Otherwise Amazon may be the way to go. Good luck.

Bought my trike second hand (not fully assembled, think she gave up)... Took it apart to sand it and repaint it... Tornado warning came through so I brought everything in, no longer how I took it apart... Trusting the pieces that she had were all there... Emailed the company, and they sent me a digital copy of the assembly manual, but it's so tiny and pixelated so I've been guessing a LOT! Let me tell you... I'm now watching your video after getting frustrated that things aren't quite right... Now I know that that metal spacer needs to go on the left wheel... So need to remove the fenders wheel from that side for like the 5th time... No wonder I was getting so frustrated that my tire was sticking out from underneath the fender! Have rewired it mostly, struggling to get the front brake to even work... But still irritated with why the front fork is showing an inch of threading at the top of everything... Which means my front reflector keeps moving to the side... I figured it's time for a break... Came inside and searched for assembly videos... Not sure why it's taken me so long to even think about this!! THANK YOU for this video... You are saving my sanity!!!

@whatsstephendoing36502 жыл бұрын
I hope you were able to figure it out. I’m not sure if you meant the brake cable or the shifter cable. If the shifter cable, the trick is to make sure you unrolled and avoiding kinks or sharp bends. Then it just feeds down the plastic “hose”. As long as there are no kinks or bends, you should be able to push it through very easily. You do have to do it a few inches at a time, for if you are holding the cable too far back, it would be like trying to push cooked spaghetti through a straw. Good luck.

Hey Stephen, any chance you know any more about the rear brake? I installed the cable correctly, the belt grabs the drum, but nothing happens, the axle spins freely. I have tried tightening the cable with no success

Hi Kris. Apologies but I don’t remember the specifics on those brakes. Seems to me that I too had to adjust something on the axle side of the brake. I’ll try to go back through my videos to see if my memory can be jogged.

You should contact the vendor you bought from and ask. Many will send the small items you are missing. Also look at the instruction manual/paperwork for the parts list. That might indicate the particular bolt/screw and it’s size. Good luck.

@stephenkemp2219 Жыл бұрын
Thank you. To answer, I want to be clear that the basket installed actually comes with the trike. That basket is 20 inches wide. If you had an option, at best only about 22 inches of clearance exists between the rear wheels.

A very helpful video, thank you. I'm in the process of assembling this bike which is not easy due to some (fortunately minor) parts missing and the instruction booklet (same as yours) in many instances not matching the actual bike. Could you, please, let me know if you had to shorten the housing for the rear brake (mine seems so far to be too long)?
@whatsstephendoing36502 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure what you are shortening. The housing / shroud for the rear brake protects the belt from exposure. The belt inside the shroud pinches down over the “brake drum” attached to the axle. You might have to close / pinch the brake belt down some when putting on the cable. Otherwise there might not be enough movement in the brake cable to cause the belt to collapse down enough to brake. And as a final adjustment, there is the nut/cup/guide where the cable ends. You can screw that out some to push the cable back a little more after you have tighten the nut over the cable end. Hope that helps.
