In this video, I'm going to show you how to conduct a basic Field Strip for cleaning by disassembling and resembling the Winchester SXP Black Shadow 12 Bore Pump Action. We use this shotgun on our theatrical firearms courses as its a delivers a great experience for first-time shooters

11:03 thanks for the explanation of the assembling the action back, because i somehow disassembled mine on accident and was trying to figure out how to reassemble it back but now i know that you have to have the trigger group disassembled in order for the action to be put back in and than you reinstall the trigger group.

Great video. The only real difference between the gun shown and mine is the tube magazine. My version is the 5+1 with standard 2-3/4 inch shells.

How you take the cap off mine is to tight is there a tool

Not as far as i'm aware, just a tight grip and turn.

Any suggestions on why sliding my handgrip will not fall back completely into the housing (at 11:10)? When I slide the handgrip on it is getting hung up right as the bridge block enters the chamber area. I can not get it to slide all the way in. I have not removed the trigger group at all, so not sure that is the issue. Any help is appreciated.

I had my action jam and I had to remove the trigger group to get the shells out, and I cannot for the life of me get it back in now. Everyone I've seen just slides their group right and when I try, either I gets stuck or I get it in and the release lever then gets stuck and the action wont move. Help? Update: Never mind guys, figured out the issue. The pump, being slid back how it was, obstructed the trigger group. To anybody having issues with this step, make sure the pump is slid forward below the barrel after you secure it with the mag tube bolt.
