Great video I had mine put together wrong. I did not feed the rods through the silver and white holes. I put it back together correctly and now it looks great but my honeycomb black squares to not seem to fit properly. Can you post a picture of the front of your honycomes. Are they all even? Mine aimea to pull in the sides of the octogone which is fine but unfortunately they're not all even squares.??

Hi James!! On mine they all fit just right, only trick was to add the white layer a little bit more to the inside, and the honey comb really on the outer layer, touching the edge. It fit right on all of the sides. Maybe that could be the issue ? Do you follow me on IG ? I'll post a picture there on the stories for ya.

@@FlyEnri thanks for your kind reply yeah it definitely doesn't fit properly I've done what you've said but it's still whacked out I'm waiting on the seller to contact me to see if I can get a replacement.

Hey bro, good one! What do you say about Godox SL60W l, I am having difficulty with its fan noise. It is quite loud and it becomes difficult to remove the noise in post.

Hi dear!! Do you use the Adobe programs? If yes, there is an option inside Audition to make a noise profile and remove it. It works quite well! Other thing you can pay attention to is the positioning of the microphone according to the light. For example, if you're using a shotgun mic, having the light at 45 degrees to the back is probably one of the best positions because the mic is really bad in that direction (usually...) ! Tell me your setup and let's figure out something !

I'd imagine this would be frustrating to put together on a shoot somewhere else, even if experienced, cool to build once for a home studio though

It could take too much time really, but once the frames are in place, it opens and closes like an umbrella! So no need to do all that work again. The diffusers will have to be taken off for sure, but that was the fastest part. Anyways, I'd still assign around 10min to put it together slowly and choose the positioning. It's a bit heavy setup, but to guarantee a higher quality really.

So, from what I understand, you only need to do this annoying setup once with the UE and GUE series right ?

Yeah, if you wanna move it somewhere else later you'll have to take the white panels off, detach it from the light source, but the annoying part will now close like an umbrella, no need to make all that again :) Thanks for watching !!
