He says that a 24mm impact driver isn't necessary, I'd argue otherwise. I'm trying to put it together right now and some of these bolts are hard to turn by hand using a regular adjustable wrench. The impact driver would make the assembly a whole lot faster, and FAR less tiring from all the manual handheld torquing you'd otherwise have to do. Also, the instructions are printed on 2 pages of 8.5x11 pieces of paper, but really, it's just a cover page followed by a diagram showing the entire rack assembled. The diagram has what looks to be size 5 font printed using a broken photocopier, which makes it challenging to read. If anyone is expecting IKEA style instructions for assembly, don't, they don't provide it. It makes this video that much more necessary to reference. Hope this helps. Also hope BOS includes better, step by step instructions in future packaging, as I'd rather reference a piece of paper as I go vs going back and forth on this video while trying to assemble the rack.

I guess "front" and "back" are relative to the position of the camera. I would assume the actual front of the rack is where you do NOT have the cross tube at the bottom that you need to step over.

tools needed: TWO 24mm socket wrenches. you're welcome. ALSO, I found it really odd that my entire experience shopping with BOS was great, their website is great, high quality images, easy to navigate website, BUT the instructions they provide are abysmal. Also tools needed should be highlighted in the description! You'd think they could invest just tiny bit more into that aspect, then they would have the perfect product and execution.

What did you say after giving the reason why the numbers should be facing the outside I have looked at it and everything seems the same so im wondering why you wouldnt have them on the inside and it would make it easier to see when adjusting stuff

Is it required to have the numbers on the outside, you said it a lot but I don't see why I couldn't. That way I can see them more easily while standing inside the rack?

Looks like the top cross members don't necessarily have to be at the very top. Could this allow for the pull up bar to be lower on the rack?

You can put the top bars on ANY of the top 17 holes. I put mine 4 below the top so I can put my head above the pull-up bars with a low ceiling. However, if you do this, you won't be able to do standing presses with your barbell because it'll hit the top bars.

Did they update the rack? BoS told me the cross members cannot be adjusted in height. Edit: nevermind, they confirmed you can!

No. Fasteners should be finger tight so you don't over torque and strip the threads or damage what you're fastening. With this rack, there are spacers for every bolt - just tighten until the spacers can be spun anymore.

Do you really need the curved back piece on the bottom or can that be removed

Hey! The U bracket can be removed, its there for extra support and attaching the Lat pull down/row.

All you need is 2 x 24mm hex sockets. You can use an impact driver as shown, or two (racheting) wrenches like I did. Another helper would be excellent.
