You are correct. If you want more clearance to remove the inside bolts you have to remove the transmission mount that is under the air cleaner, then jack it up on a piece of timber on a strong point on the housing, this will give you enough room to get to the inside 10mm bolts. Otherwise you can get a 1/4 bendy wire extension and try that. Torque settings are 10nm for the bolts but i would suggest start with 7nm and go up slowly without over squishing the gasket., hand tight snug to start with.

There actually a good transmission when servicing every 50000km I use penrite ATF FS its pretty good .

thanks for your advice, with road conditions in Indonesia which are very congested with a tropical climate, we suggest shortening the changeover, at 20k KM, 🙏😎 #cmiiw

numpang tanya om kebetulan baru ambil unit 2nd 1. kapasitas oli mesin tanpa ganti filter brp liter ya? dan rekomen pake oli apa? 2. audio saya nyala tapi ga ada suaranya itu kira2 kenapa ya? makasih om

@@danangalvaris Who recommended ATF change every 20k km? Mazda claim the fluid is good for the life of the transmission. It's probably a good idea to change it, but I believe unofficially its recommended at 65-100k km. Also this isn't a flush as you are only changing less than 1/2 the fluid. Better to drop pan and change filter first I would have thought.

Your only diluting. The car needs to be driven for atleast 500klms then drained so the valves get flushed. Better off drop the pan add a new filter then do that,

It takes 500kms to get the fluid up to working temp? Also pan bolts on GH1 are trick to get to on one side of the pan as they are hidden by the fender well frame.

You need to remove wheel to access the pan bolts. Putting new oil with a dirty filter and a magnet with sludge is a waste of time. Who said it takes 500klms to get to operating temperature? I said 500klms for it to push clean fluid through the valve body and torque converter then drain and fill. You either do a job properly. Dont be lazy with pan bolts.

@@luken6639 Thank you for the response. It wasn't my intention to be critical. I hope to do this task myself and I'm trying to understand how best to approach it.. Clearly I misunderstood. Did you mean first drop the pan, change filter and put new fluid in. Then drive 500km so it can circulate through valve body and TC. Then drain and fill again via sump? So once I remove the wheel and plastic panel behind, will I be able to remove the hard to rach bolts with an open/closed wrench through the fender well? Or is there a better way? Sorry for all the questions. I've never attempted this before and I 100% agree if you;re going to do it, do it right.Though there isn't a lot of info available online.

@@luken6639 Thank you so much. That is very helpful. I need to aquire all the tools and parts first, but when I do attempt the job, do you mind if I messgae you if I come across any hurldes? It wont be for a couple weeks or so as I have stuff coming from Amazon USA. I'm in Australia. Thank you for the torque settings. Might be hard to get to the hard to reach pan bolts with a torque wrench though. I might have to guestimate thosee ones? I'm going to try a flex head 1/4 inch socket wtench underneath to crack the bolts and then come in via fender well with open/closed wrench. If that doesn't worl I'll try abendy extension. Hopefully i dont have to remove mounts and jack up the trans. Thanks again. really appreciate the help.
