isosteric Thank you 🎹👍🎹👍
@weirdscience68205 жыл бұрын
Why do you normally hate these videos by the way? How is this boy different to others who can also play and have put in the work? I believe it's easier for kids starting out than adults. I notice my child has better recall of the keys than I do.
@isosteric5 жыл бұрын
MzX. I think my comment was self explanatory, but regardless... if you have talent, then just play. You don’t have to be contrived about it, just play. To do so in a self mocking or patronising way, which a lot of the videos I’m referring to do, makes that person look a bit idiotic. This young lad plays because a, he has talent and b, he gives a performance using his talent. You can be an exceptional player and play for yourself or you can perform. Unless you are doing it for obvious comedic effect, then fine, but otherwise don’t be a smug patronising idiot.
@weirdscience68205 жыл бұрын
Yeah I read that part about pretending not knowing how to play and perhaps you also mean one's who are overly modest - but could it mean they're not playing to their own satisfaction, at a standard they know they can or should achieve, which is higher than many, especially at a professional level. There's a pianist who doesn't think she's that good at sight reading but commenters can't believe she said this when watching her. She must think she should be more proficient. So from a perspective of a hobbyist or amateur (non sight reader) viewing a professional, the difference in skill level and expectations between them have to be kept in mind.

It is truly amazing in my opinion, how Children from Robert Miles became kind of classical modern tune for few decades already! Just as kind reminder video came out around 1996… True genius of Mr Robert Miles… Rest it peace. The boy performance is super great!
