Just look at that late season color that is painting your grounds!! Breathtaking!! Bluebirds are such a joy, as are titmice, chickadees, and my all-time favorite, the majestic meadowlark. What a most vibrant bird and their song makes my own heart sing! 🤓☺️. Thank you for another lovely lesson, Allen!

Here at Lake Kiowa we have ducks and all kinds of birds! We have lots of different kinds of bird feeders and chase off the squirrels. One evening my hubby came in and said come and look whose at the bird feeders!! So I went and looked and there were two huge ducks eating the bird seeds at the bottom of the birds feeder. They stayed for a while and flew out between our house and the neighbor's house. They were so beautiful flying out of our yard!!

Thank you so much for installing so many boxes across your farm. If I had more property I'd have so many more boxes put up.

Love your bluebird houses! We have a couple of them but yours are much better. Thanks for the plans to build our own houses. This would be fun to do. Love all my birds. 🤗💕🦜

Happening upon this KZbin channel was exciting because I grew up watching your shows on Houston PBS. SO im binge watching and it all just makes me smile. The Eastern bluebird segment was great and we have been blessed with our own backyard bluebird nest box occupied year after year. They are a favorite as well as the tufted titmouse that was cameo twice in this video!

Very good information. I am a bird and owl house junkie. If you build them, they will come.

I have one one regular bird feeder, but added one that takes larger seed for the blue jays, cardinals etc as I am in Zone 6a southern Ontario. I would love to attract these blue birds if this is a zone they would naturally come into with those wonderful boxes. I am also working on more plantings to attract hummingbirds. I have read they will remember spots year to year of where they can access the nectar they need.

Last year I grew 1 sunflower took all the seeds from it and left them on a table in my backyard when I came back literally all of them were eaten. This year I'm planting more sunflowers for them and see what else I can plant. I'm from Arkansas so I need to look what kind of flowers I can plant for them.

I need help. We live on a 1st floor apartment. Our neighbor on the 2nd floor just moved in and uses an owl decoy which has affected birds (and humming birds) to come visit our beautiful patio, bird feeders and bird bath. Before she moved in our birds visited often and had so much fun. Can you give me advice on how we can get the birds to return to our bird haven. Love your youtube video

Does it matter which direction to face the bird house? I have a bunch I need to put up.

You want try and place the back of it towards the prevailing winds in attempt to keep a draft off the babies. In my case, it is South, away from the river.

I have attempted to attract bluebirds for several years but the sparrows always claim the box. I plug the hole, I open the box until they lose interest but they always return, I'v used a sparrow spooker, I've put a predator guard over the hole and NOTHING keeps the sparrows away. Do you have any other suggestions to keep sparrows out? I've used boxes like the one in your video and I've used a Peterson house. I put out dried meal worms but haven't tried live ones. 💁🏼♀️ Thanks.❤️
