Thank you so much Grace! Thanks for being so honest and open. Auditions can definitely be an intimidating thing, but hopefully this has helped

Hell yes for being able to take direction. When I have made short films, the actors I used again were the ones who took direction well and were able to change and adapt. Sure you can suggest a few things, but it is the Director's vision. And now being on the other side of the camera, I try to remember that.

Love it! It's precise and well thought of. Watching all your videos right now. When you say "put acting first" I agree and I want to add something. I lot of actors have a lot of pressure to be successful. Also the reality for most is making monney with something else. I can still put in quite a few hours working in a different profession for monney and possibly fulfillment and from that place put in the effort and time needed to get good at acting. I know for some people it's important to burn all bridges and others need more safty and have a stable base.

Hey! So my teacher is having us prepare a 1 minute monologue from SHREK the junior version. Is this like me taking parts from the musical and acting it or a 1-minute section that i act?
@StageMilk2 жыл бұрын
Hey! Whenever you do a monologue you should consider the context from which it comes. So understanding the broader story and the moment that precedes the monologue will really help.

When audition with sides and you have to send in a video, do I need to have people read the other characters with me? Or do I just read my parts?
@StageMilk Жыл бұрын
With a scene always have a reader with you. They are just off camera (usually standing next to the camera for a good eye line)
