Option 2: Straight buy CSPX with SGD and let it auto convert into USD. Option 3: Setup recurring buy (Some said there will be no commission charged using this method)

Hello, do you pay less FX fees if you top up SGD and exchange to USD within IBKR or through Wise (top up SGD to Wise and exchange to USD before sending to IBKR)?

For Margin account , if i convert all my SGD and i press preview is negative SGD. it will go on margin right ? you dont leave abit of buffer ? (i.e. as long as SGD is positive when converting )
