this was awesome...going to play with these after current projects are in the bag. I haven't been updating my adobe's lately because im in the middle of a lot of test images/layouts on new hardware )monitor) and am trying to get a baseline before i start messing with adobe's updates an eventual bugs with these point releases.

That`s the class! Very good and clear explanation. I wish that you make more videos for deeply understanding some tools in Lr. Actually I know sooo much, I am old user ovf Lr, but allways I want to know more on the higher level. And your class is exactly that. 😀😀😀

Thank you for the great tutorial Greg! Would it be ok to ask where you got the color circle image from? I'd love to do some test on my own.

Glad you enjoyed it. It’s one I created. I don’t generally make my images available outside of courses.

Great video as always, Greg. Seeing your solarization demonstration made me think about whether using that approach in Photoshop would give me easier access to the HSV color space over HSL. (It probably doesn't! But it sent my squirrelly brain off on a tangent.) I've been learning a few tricks from film colorists. Figuring out a simple method for dipping into HSV for a layer or two during my photo color grading preoccupies me. At the moment, I've got 3D LUT Creator and that does the trick, but I'm always on the lookout for redundant approaches.
@gregbenzphotography11 ай бұрын
Yeah, I wish we had HSB options. You can destructively convert there and back with the PS filter in a pinch.
@davidturner511 ай бұрын
@@gregbenzphotography That's the unfortunate solution that keeps me using 3D LUT for the moment. I gather that Affinity allows nondestructive use of HSB, but the pile of reasons to switch isn't quite high enough yet,

The refine tool is not available in ACR, unfortunately
@gregbenzphotography11 ай бұрын
It is, just called “refine” in ACR. Make sure you are using the point curve.
