It is disturbing that probably she was scared that if she would kill him she would be accused of murder. Please make a video about the possible consequences of selfdefence. I know she wouldn't go to prison for it but I guess her record might not be intact afterwards.

She might go to prison. There are underage girls and women all over the world serving life in prison for killing their rapist, trafficker or attacker

When that happens, I heard if you scream ‘FIRE’ people are more inclined to run over to see if there is a fire than to scream help. What are your thoughts?
@TB379993 жыл бұрын
This is true due to most humans wanting to avoid conflict with others but would be happy to watch a burning building. Mostly, if you did scream help people would come. It’s just more likely to happen when yelling ‘fire’.

People have been trying to figure out "moves that end the fight" or "quick kill moves" since the inception of martial arts. And across the ancient martial arts and in today's front runners, one thing these all have in common is that: there are no techniques that end a fight that quickly. Even if you might argue that you could just "kick them in the balls", it's much like the story of the kidnapped woman and the hammer: Eventually he will get up and grab you again, and you better hope he doesn't do something worse than what he initially planned. The one thing that can help you is this: *Martial arts training*, not only training, but sparring against an ACTUALLY RESISTING ATTACKER. (Sorry for the 'caps', but women's self defense is flooded with bullshit that is never tested against a resisting training partner) The same thing goes for weapons like guns and knives, and self defense tools like pepper spray. Martial arts that show up in MMA (wrestling, muay Thai, judo, boxing, and ESPECIALLY Brazilian Jiu-jitsu) are the "creme da la creme" of martial arts that are found very easily and are proven to work. Though it should be mentioned that bigger people (especially if they're men) have the advantage in fights and physical confrontations. Even more so if they're trained. What you're doing when training a martial art is not only closing the gap in fighting ability, but eventually be able to dominate untrained fighters. This is good since the vast majority of kidnappers and rapists are usually untrained. Get good at one (preferably multiple) of these arts and train with a particular self defense tool and you'll be fine in the majority of situations as long as you practice good situational awareness and legitimately spar against trained and untrained attackers. And in the case of avoiding the guy, traveling with friends, or people are around to help, not working you have martial arts training as a failsafe. -Stay safe, and get out there and train!

Anything is a good weapon if you train with it. (Even a pillow) You can use softer more comparable objects that won't injure your training partner while practicing. Softer foam tube things that you can cut out of pool-noodles are great since you can make whatever sizes you want and you can go pretty hard without injuries or concussions. And not only train with it, but train against real resistance, not a dude that stands there. There needs to be live resistance against you and whatever you're doing in order for you to see what works and what doesn't. Now getting repetitions in does require the training partner to be somewhat compliant, live training is where you test the techniques you know/learned. You can't just pick something up and expect to be good at it, you have to practice with it. Knowing a grappling art like wrestling, judo, or bjj can help close the gap against bigger untrained attackers. The solid positions you get from the grappling training alone greatly benefits not only the weapon of choice (even if you just train the grappling and not the weapon), but your ability to win and stay as safe as possible.

The fact that people just walk past when someone is clearly being attacked, makes me really want every single woman (and man) to learn self defense, people are generally such cowards and your attackers know this!
