Closing your browser with a full cart can also get you some discounts! Sometimes vendors will follow up with you offering a 10% coupon or something. If you really need the item, it's a win win! It really does 'pay' to slow down and really consider your purchases :).

If you add to basket they start sending you e-mails saying We reserved this for you, or You’ve left something in your basket, etc. It makes you shop more.

i really hate on depop when you favorite an item and sellers give you a discount for 24 hours, because if it’s something i like i get fomo and impulse buy 😭😭 but to be fair i am using christmas money lol

The add to basket with lots of stuff you want and walking away really works you get the shopping hit but when you come back and see a 600 price tag it puts you off spending when you see how much you was about to spend its just knowing how to walk away and looking with fresh eyes

I actually save shopping amazon cuz i only need one product i cant find. If i go to walmart/ khols/ costco / target i come out with hindreds of dollars of crap it made me feel good but then i couldnt make my car payment. I have maxed all my CC. My credit score is at its worst. Im trying to save to buy a house. I have to stop impulsive shopping

Honestly that wasn’t a future proof choice anyways. Most young people don’t even check their email regularly, or have a spam email for sign ups specifically to avoid email marketing.
