How to avoid Lens flicker

Aperture flicker issue in stopmotion is so common now, as most of the lens now have automatic iris. It would be so sad to not be able to use those lens, so here you the why and 3 tips to solve the issue on camera.

Hello Edu, I've come across your channel and I have subbed and I am binge watching everything! Thanks for such amazing content and innovation! I'm doing pre-production for my new cooking channel and I'd like to do some stop animation mixed with b roll etc. So I'm planning on investing in the following; Dragonframe, some of your kinetic armatures, a Canon 5D Mkii or iii (depending on budget and what's available 2nd hand) and maybe the Arduino solution you suggest for movement (but not at first).

Hello! The new Canon R6 II is supposed to have aperture lock via dragonframe software. Have you had a chance to play with it and any thoughts on it? Love your channel btw! =)

I thought manual and automatic were modes you can switch between in the camera itself. I had no idea the lenses were also made differently
