Cheer's for bringing awareness this topic Sk0l. I've been a mod for 4 years now and you're on point with everything here. One thing I would love to note here is with Voice Moderation because lots of players have trouble understanding how it exactly works... The VM, basically, listens to your voice and picks up on certain words and phrases that are considered harmful. BUT.. the VM does NOT pick up on CONTEXT. It does not care if you say something in a joking matter, it'll flag it either way. (even I've been kicked for explaining "you can't say f**k you" in-game). So yeah, good rule of thumb is the old saying "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all". If you've worried you might slip up too, use an external Voice chat like Discord, PS party or even Messenger.

@Sk0l poison bans, it will ban your device, IP, and all accounts on your device, and it acts a shadow ban, it wont tell you your banned, it will put you in lobby's with no people, and then right after it would kick you to your dorm with a connection error, it can only be obtained by being detected by the games anticheat, basically just hacking, all server activites dont do anything, such as messaging friends, cheering a room, favoriting a room, adding friends inviting friends yeah basically everything

What i’m trying to say is rec room doesn’t read most of their reports, they go based on how many people sent reports towards their account. They will increase the severity based on how recently they’ve been banned, how many people have reported them, and how many votekicks they’ve received. They have also updated this system and made it worse with voice moderation in-game as well, which makes the player experience worse, due to voice moderation not always being accurate to when players say something bad towards someone, or if they’re just joking towards their friends.

Hey, I'm one of the Volunteer Mods on Rec Room.. here's a couple things to note; 1. Support team definitely do read reports but you need 4 or 5 reports against you before any action takes affect. 2. Yes, the severity does increase but it's incremental, 1st ban may only be a couple days but the 4th or 5th time couple be weeks or months or even a year. (this also depends on what the ban was for, smaller issues may only be a couple days but something like racism or cheating can be longer). Also vote kicks only have an affect if you are kicked too frequently. 3. The voice moderation system works by detecting certain words and phrases BUT NOT context. So while some words like F**k are allowed to be said, it can't be directed at someone, even if you're just joking around. (my advice, if you're worried you'll slip up use an external VC like Discord, Messenger, PS party chat, etc...)
