Snowboard trick tips for backside boardslide to switch out. This is one of the first snowboard tricks you can try on a box. I'm going to show you the three snowboard skills you need to learn before trying this trick. I'll also break it down and give you the key for landing the boardslide your first try. There are three snowboard skills you need to learn for this tricks. Lets break down the boardslide. For the approach do a one or two turns to set your speed, and arrive at the box doing a mellow heel turn, slightly on your heel edge. To get the board slide around you want to take your back shoulder, and turn it around until it becomes your new front shoulder. The key to success on your first attempt is to land with your board flat and be balanced over your snowboard. Have fun learning back board slides to switch out. Remember to first master the three snowboard skills. Then break the board slide down to be successful on your first attempt. Leave any question in the comment section . I've been trying to get a backside board slide down, but I keep landing on my back. Once and a while I get it right and am able to pull it off but I tend to have too much weight on my heel edge. Do you have any suggestions on how I can overcome this?

I think you have to buy an all-mountain & park snowboard cus all-mountain only is not flexible enough. That's my theory cus I've been wanting to buy a park board for a while. Any expert here who can help?

FVNT0M IIX Honestly my park board handles all mountain riding just fine. But my previous all mountain wasn't very capable in the park. Like you said the added flex of a park board really helps as far as jibbing and small kickers go. From my experience I would say go with a park board, it will help you progress much faster in the park while still being able to take the occasional rip down the steeps or trees.

Tim Sharky Productions Hey thanks for replying! Is ur park board on the soft or stiff end of the park board range? I wanna get a park board like yours that handles all mountain as well.

well any park board will be great in the park. A stiffer one will be better for larger jumps and doing spins. a softer one will be better suited for jibbing and rails. Also, if you are into speed and taking your board outside the park, a stiffer board will be better for you. my board is a mix between rocker and camber so it has stiffer tips for better turn initiation, but a softer center for locking in those boardslides. Remember also that its normal to get a smaller board for park and you'll be able to flex the same flex board a size smaller than wha you usually ride. Ex; a flex of 6 on a 157cm will feel stiffer than the same flex on a 152cm because you have a greater weight to length ratio.

Grat video! A quick question, when on the the box or rail, how should i center my weight/angle of my board? just flat och a little to the back edge of the direction I'm going? maybe hard to get what i mean, sorry :P well..maybe if i say just flat or back edge, just worried the board might get stucked on the front edge and ill fly with my face first :/ :P Thanks!

So far I have never caught an edge on a box/rail and I keep it flat. Its easier to balance that way

Tim Lundborg I think most people when they start lean back a little and it always causes them to fall. Keep your board flat, I've never cause my toes and gone forward.
