My god, this is the best tip ever! Finally, and I mean finally someone tells you it will come to you naturally!!! So many people just making videos for the views explaining things that will come naturally and are safer naturally!!! A mega thumbs up to this guy and this video!!!!!!!!

Thanks Nelson. Honestly other than s1gp I can't watch supermoto content on youtube, there's just too much cringe, nonsense and general f*ckery. We'll keep trying to bring the non click bait advice :)

first week after i bought my ducati I came in way to hot on a 90 degree corner that turned to gravel. I learned how to back it in during the .5 seconds it took to realize I wasn't going to slow down in time :P

He's spot on. Over ride the machine. its the same in a car. Over driving will cause drifts to occur. Same with the bike! More speed, harder braking pressure and use of gears! Works like a charm!

Why don't you guys make more videos? You guys could get very popular (on KZbin, which would bring you business in the future). Do how-to's for bike repairs, mods, and cosmetics / tutorials on riding (like you've done, how to back it in) / montages of track days / etc Your video quality is good and the people in them seem genuine (which I'm sure they are!) It's just something to consider

+Klutch Krazy Thanks Klutch. We're insanely busy! 19 bikes, doing all the marketing, wrenching, new tires, scheduling etc.Doing everything we can to keep up with the school demand. That said we do have a few more in the can :)
@klutchkrazy57179 жыл бұрын
+socalsupermoto well yea I expect you to be busy hahaha! All I'm saying is working through the nights editing or filming a repair video etc would be worth it in the end. Maybe consider hiring a cameraman/editor! I know that's money but gata spend to earn XD I hope to come down there someday and ride the track! Maybe even take the class for the hell of it XD

+Klutch Krazy 60hr work weeks are enough, our days sell out, and we have plenty of media coverage www.maxim.com/rides/socal-supermoto-2016-1. so no i'm not staying up at night to make youtube vids :) like i said though a bunch of stuff we already shot will come out at some point.

Great tip to be honest. Just like the riders wanting bad to knee drag, let the ground come to your knees. It will come naturally.
@socalsupermoto5 ай бұрын
That's actually my next vid. I'm ok with knee dragging but I want to see perfect lines, smooth, fast transitions, and early gas, THEN I'll talk to students about backing it in or dragging knee.

Do you guys rev match while backing it in? If I'm not mistaken that would stop the wheel from sliding so it wouldn't make sense. Just curious. Amazing content BTW!!
@socalsupermoto2 жыл бұрын
Nope. no rev matching ever. our brakes works to well so by simply braking harder your engine speed/revs will match your travel speed.

Easy. Don't try to back it in. Simply work on braking later/going faster. The backing it in will come naturally and you won't highside.

@zoomjoo4 жыл бұрын
@@JinKazama92 dont dump it keep it in the engagement zone, unless you have slipper clutch installed
@mannyechaluce38149 ай бұрын
In other words, it comes naturally the faster you go and applying the same deceleration concepts you learned while at a slow pace :D Front Brake progressive and hard, your shifting down and releasing clutch gently, your rear wheel will get light, and as you turn your rear will step out :D technically on hard deceleration, rear brakes are usesles :D

depends if you have a slipper clutch then dont use the clutch if you dont then grab the clutch bang down two gears and ease the clutch out to control rear tire speed

How does the bike handle all this gear banging do you have to have a slipper clutch?
@acdcjonnyboy7 жыл бұрын
You don't have to have a slipper, i can be one without, there's just more of a clutch feathering technique to achieve it. It's just easier and more smooth when done with a slipper.

i thought it d be something like that. now a question. here in brazil a 400cc honda or yamaha or drz are quite pricey so nobody starts with a 400cc here. can you get to a point of skill and speed to back it in with a 250cc weighing 150 kg plus the rider?

Every one said how to back it is. But your saying hay there are many ways to do this ! The truth is there are diferent ways to do it! There are diferint clutchs that act diferently . I come into a slow sharp corner and have some one you pass at thr breaking point in a first gear corner. I apply the brakes 50/50 . When i have compress the suspension shift down to first with out cluch and no throttle. The bike will get upset and slow the front and the rear. Because you have initiated the turn the bike will point to the direction you want to go. NO YOUR NOT LOCKING THE FRONT SO IT WILL NOT TUCK AND GIVE OUT ! The rires are turning and if that is so the wheels have a gyro effect and the bike will be stable. What are you going to trust ? Physics and math ? Or your brain. I'm not using a slipper clutch doing this.
@socalsupermoto2 жыл бұрын
Brake hard, turn in hard, ride well and the backing it in will follow. We just rode with Lukas Hollbacher and he only backed it in when the camera was posted in the corner.
