Great tip on fishing a jig. Question on a slightly different subject. Are you using braid for this? If so, What’s your favorite knot to connect braid to fluorocarbon leaders? I seem to struggle with connecting a heavier leader to thin braid. I’m thinking maybe just best to connect with a swivel? Thanks

T, I use a double Uni , but just make it easy and use a barrel w a 3' leader. I use barrels all the time on my guests rods.. I do suggest the Rapala knot at the jig, I have clips on guests rods for easy changing..

I figure you're riding that male/ / female horse both for fun and because it matters, but I think it's kind of funny that it doesn't apply to the Blackfish. They start out female and change to male as they get bigger. ...or maybe it's the other way around. Any case, they're fascinating in that they are definitely not one or the other.
