I made just enough for two servings, and it took three minutes to cook until firm in my 700 Watt microwave

Thank you for educating us! I even learned more about cream of tartar, which I just learned is a byproduct of making wine. Wine is also a way to add acid to recipes; vinegar, cream of tartar tar, lemon juice are all acids that are interchangeable in very small amounts ( like a few drops) for recipes like icing. Watered & vinegar can replace wine in pan cooking because of the acidity but wine also ads sweetness.

This one is a REALLY A COOL TUTORIAL, EMMY!!! I love it and cannot wait to try this recipe. It is weird and surprising. It makes 100% sense after You explained what the antacid ingredients are and how they work in a cake. I cannot wait to try this one out on My Family. Thank You again, Emmy for taking One for the Team; and trying out another weird sounding recipe. 😊😜😀👍🏼 I love Your videos.

As someone who has acid reflux constantly..... I must say I was triggered by the title😁😁😁😁 Can't wait to see how such a thing works on a cake😁

Eno is just baking soda and citric acid, which already goes into a lot of cakes.

as a person who has GERD, I got low key excited at the idea of a cake relieving my acid. :p

Same here. I got a good case of acid reflux after a surgery 6 years ago. I take meds every night to combat the reflux. For those who have never had it, it's like having heart burn on steroids. It takes your breath away.

Hi Emmy. Great try. You should have baked and steamed both the cakes to really differentiate the taste and texture. Pls try baking and steaming both and give us an update. Thanks

I think the liquor was as well! Don't ask me why, though. Indirect French influence in the American South, I guess?

As a counterpoint, I've used boxed cake mix to make cookies! :D Straight up baking soda can be used as an antacid too, in fact it has for decades. :)

I use straight baking soda in water when I have heartburn. It's better than Tums or similar at night because it doesn't have sweeteners, so I don't have to worry about my teeth
