Great video Josh. I learned to balance my crane v2 with Sony a6000 from u in a previous video. Best explanation yet. But now I have sony 24-105f4 lens with a6000. Won't balance the normal way. Do u think the manfrotto and cage method would solve it? I really need to get this system to work. If you can find a solution I'd be forever grateful.

@@MomentumProductions1992 Josh I'd been told it was impossible with the a6000+sony 24-105f4 as it was too front heavy. I've actually percevered using your method and I've now managed to balance it. There's not a lot of clearance but it's still use able. I might just put a counterweight on a hot shoe to see if I can use some of the zoom. Thank you soooo much for your videos. I've always found them the most methodical and helpful, with the best results. You rock! Have an amazing day x

Hey dude, thanks for the super helpful video. What are your quick thoughts on the Crane 2 (not v2) vs the Feiyu a2000? Also if using a DSLR setup that is just under 2kg would you say the Crane 2 would handle it better?

Can I balance a 17-35 sigma with an m50 and adapter on the crane 2 without any cage etc..?
@SBKProductions5 жыл бұрын
I can’t seem to figure out what’s the problem i recently bought a sigma 18-35mm to go with my canon T7i and i can’t get it balanced and i know how to balance my other lens! ........Every time i face the lens up it’s falls back and i keep adjusting the side axle but it’s just continues to fall back i can get everything else balance but not the side axle! I also has a battery grip on my T7i maybe that’s affecting it?

Jason Vong haha looking fwd to that! As I have a tele but don't have an 85 prime. 85 primes make lovely compositions too. But gonna have to see that's the max we can do with a 70-200 on the crane 2

Can you please test a heavy lens. I have a canon 80d and the sigma 18-35mm and it won't balance properly. Do I need a counterweight? It is very top heavy
@MomentumProductions19926 жыл бұрын
I did test the 70-200. Also my 16-35 Zeiss. You shouldn't have to use a counterweight. Do you want me to make another balancing tutorial?
@BrianSladek6 жыл бұрын
Momentum Productions Thanks. I figured it out after a couple hours. It would be nice if we don’t have to fuss with this and the gimbal balances itself, but that is a product of the future I guess

@briansladek how did you figure it out i can’t get my T7i+18-35mm sigma lens to balance ...
@kaisstudio82786 жыл бұрын
9:42 Yup, that's what happened to me as well when I tried to balance my 24mm SLR magic with the anamorphic adapter WITH the follow focus motor system. I even had to add counter some weights to balance it EXCEPT for tilting. That worries me a little but the crane seem to operate like fine only that I am a little limited. I won't be doing a lot of tilting for sure lol

cool. if only they'd added another ~1.5cm to the arm lengths, the 70-200gm would then be much more usable on it.. Obviously still a great gimbal, but I have the 70-200gm so really wanting a gimbal that can properly handle it.

@TheNastydanny6 жыл бұрын
You should try adding some weights to your cage, so you can balance your sony lens properly!
@MomentumProductions19926 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, that won't work either, because the setup will be too tall. I would need the 1DX mounting plate for that :)
@Misstorys6 жыл бұрын
Why do you need the cage in the first place ?

Actually I can see the adjustment just fine, and they are anything but small. A micro adjustment should be detectable with the eye. Maybe they're small in theory?

Momentum Productions the test for it so u see how the other ones camera falls forward or backwards, or right or left. I didn't get how to test for the pan u just pick it up and tilt it 45 degrees ? What if u were to tilt it to the right or left. I was confused by that . The pan adjustment in general

Why does the crane not have adjustments screws which make the arm go left or right instead of doing this with the hand ? Nobody thought about it or what ?

Yes, I said why in the video... did you miss that?
@etfilms93866 жыл бұрын
Momentum Productions :I did check it.. but balancing for a particular lens would be of apt without a lens cap for that particular lens.. rather than saying incase of heavy lenses.. anyways in the same video,u balancing for a heavy lens 70-200 too.. y I'm mentioning is that, in case of Ronin there are loads of Videos to balance but none with a follow Focus on..(incase of heavy follow Focus like pdmovie)..
