How To Balance DJI RS2 | Balancing a BMPCC 6K Pro

In this video I show you how to balance a DJI RS2. In this video I am balancing a Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro which is a very large and heavy camera. It pushes the limits a bit of the RS2 but it can definitely handle it!

I balanced the black magic 6k full frame on the rs2, everything said excellent, but it would jerk up and down pretty noticeably when I’d walk forward. Not sure if anyone’s been able to use this combo without the bumps.

You lock each axis that you aren’t balancing. That’ll keep it still while you get each axis balanced

Hey Alex. Just wondering where you finally landed on the 6K Pro. Did you like the shooting experience? Did the post/color experience live up to your expectations? I’m a Colorist by trade and love grading Braw. Silky smooth to work with and lots of color info to play with. Would love to hear your final assessment of using it for Real Estate vids. Thanks!

Hey, as the BMPCC 6KP is much larger to the right, unbalancing the gimbal, it would be possible 1) to mount the second arm of the gimble inverted, leaving the tilt motor to the left side, as it collides with the camera, or 2) just mount the camera upside down? Could you test these hypotheses to see if it would work and make a video? I would appreciate it.

That was a Tokina 11-20 I believe. I was just renting the BM. I shoot with a Sony A7IV
