Hey dude great vid! Whats the range of the raveneye? I was thinking about buying one just to control my cam on range for taking vids of myself. Would that work?
@keith-knittel4 жыл бұрын
@@user-dh5fp4gw1b that's a really good question, and I have no idea the answer to it. I haven't experienced any dropouts in the same room. This is probably dependant on your device's wifi range as you're using your device's wifi to connect to the RavenEye's wifi. So depending on how well your device can pick up that connection? I'll have to test that out with my iPhone!

how would you mount a microphone to this, just on top of the camera or is there a suitable clamp to go on the side?
@keith-knittel4 жыл бұрын
You can mount a small mic to the top and balance your camera from there, but you probably wont be able to go into underslung mode. You can get some NATO adapters to mount to the side of the gimbal (on the left/right sides of the screen). I used a NATO handle with cold shoe mounts on the end to mount to the side of the gimbal, but the mobility of the gimbal will be limited. I might add these to a future video!

I just posted a video on my channel where I used a number of different gimbal follow speeds and motor strengths. I learned if you want cinematic shots, the slower follow speeds are better - but significantly harder to follow faster moving objects. The faster follow speeds are great for fast motion, but require much more skill to keep steady and avoid unintentional movements in the gimbal. Don't be afraid to change your gimbal speeds frequently!

I'm not aware of you being able to focus through the app via the raven eye, you can attach the focus motor on your RS2, but you'll need to use the wheel to focus. I use autofocus on my camera mostly because the A7SIII's focus is better than I'll ever be able to pull focus! Thanks for watching and glad it helped you

The lock touch screen tip was it for me! That was my only complaint about the RS2... now it's perfect, thanks for that 😁👍🏾

If you plug your camera into a normal HDMI monitor will your camera get a feed? Are you using any camera control cables? I don't have a canon camera to test with this, but I know using a USBC camera control cable with my Sony cameras presents problems! Thanks for watching

hey mate, do you have an idea how to connect the raven eye with the gimble while using a D850 nikon. Also on the live view the options are limited so that even using the rec. button on the ronin is not workin ^^

Hey Eric, sorry I don’t have any Nikon cameras to test out. Maybe some Nikon users can help out here? Thanks for watching and hope you get your setup working. Make sure to check your camera compatibility in the link in the description
