Sir, can we use oxidation and reduction with defination of addition and reduction of electronegative /positive ions?
@wbreslyn9 ай бұрын
Oxidation and reduction [provides a fundamental framework for analyzing and predicting the outcomes of chemical reactions involving the transfer of electrons. So what you say makes sense.

Dr.B, do you follow ap chem courses (like the time they teach everything)? I feel like you know what's going on in my class everyday lol.

That is great to hear! Yes, many of the topics follow AP and by extension gen chem in college.

@wbreslyn8 ай бұрын
Pace yourself and focus on areas where you feel you are weak. Don't just study the stuff you already know! And do as many practice problems as possible. That's my advice a few days out from a big exam. All the best on your exam!

Dear sir, My Name is Purushottam I have an little doubt, What's difference between MINIMUM & MAXIMUM ?
@wbreslyn9 ай бұрын
Hello Purushottam! The difference between minimum and maximum is about the lowest and highest amounts or degrees permissible or possible, respectively. In a marathon, the minimum time is the fastest pace at which a runner completes the race, while the maximum time is the slowest pace allowed before the race officially ends.

Can you please tell me that how to write this statement (carbon+hydrogen+oxygen➡sugar) in a balanced chemical equation? I am unable to find it anywhere😞
@wbreslyn8 ай бұрын
I'm not sure of the equation for just C + H2 + O2 = sugar. Perhaps take the C + O2 to make CO2. And the H2 and O2 to make H2O. From there photosynthesis would be able to create glucose. This might help kzbin.info/www/bejne/o3jFc2eoapulgqc .

Please tell where you balance chemical equation😢 please...

We usually balance the atoms in the half reactions before we balance electrons (or the H and O atoms). Thank you so much. GREAT! 😊I can use these steps for the many redox reactions I have done till now and it works perfectly. I only can't solve this reaction "Hgo -> O2 + Hg" by using the same steps . Can you please tell me if I'm wrong? 😢
