I usually work remotely out of a coffee shop because I just have a hard time working from home. It's just me and it can get lonely. Being self employed and being everything in your biz is hard and stressful at times. But I love what I do. Now I have the challenge of wanting to keep doing what I do and adding an art biz to the mix. Anyhoo cheers from Cali.

This was helpful, but it was also nice, because to see someone awesome doing the creative partime shuffle, makes me feel less alone. ❤

Thank you Lilly💯, it was very helpfull for me, I struggle with timemanaging too, because I do pottery after office work, I have familly too, I was quite nervous about how to manage all these things and dont burn early....I like to make pottery, It makes me happy, to be creative and see the people how the people buying my pieces use it every day and feel the positive energy from handmade pottery. 😍

Hey Lilly, been following your Channel for a while and was motivated to get a table, wheel, kiln and your book Handbuilt. I have been making functional pottery for friends and family for about a year or so. I enjoy it and have been inspired by you and your book. Your book has been super helpful to me, I keep it open on my living table. Sometimes one of the photos will catch my eye and it will magically inspire a new pottery idea and I’ll go directly to my studio. So, the point is, thanks for the great book Handbuilt I like the book for the inspiration it provides.

Great to see you again. As a "hobby potter" (self- taught and I make no money from pottery. I really got value from your presentation today. All of your points apply no matter where you are in your pottery journey. I was a professionsal ceramist in the 80"s. So I had a leg up so to speak when I started my journey on pottery. The online community is very supportive. I appreciate all the helpful hints you share so kindly. Keep potting and thanks. Christine

Another lovely video Lily! Always nice to hear you talk through your perspective and personal experience. Thanks for sharing! I am also an independent worked pursuing a few different work “categories”. I’ve felt at my best when I was able to put all worries aside and focus only on doing whatever I would do if money or similar metrics were not a problem. I found focusing only on that + sharing the work was the method that allowed me to work within a better mind space, making it easier to solve the other issues along the way.
