How to balance studying between medical school and step exams preparation?

Hi guys, I am Yassin Badr, an Egyptian American medical student who studies medicine in Egypt and planning to practice medicine in the United States. Thank you very much You asked the questions that I was wondering about it ... yes I think the grades in med school make a big motivation to continue I will start restudy the things I've taken in the first year during the summer vacation and solve bank questions and start studying some of the subjects from the next semester...of course if I pass this semester if Allah want....because our vacation is about 3 months And after it over I will study the college lectures while solving Q banks... I am taking the finals right now and we will finish it after two weeks...so at these moment I am focusing just on my college lectures please wish me luck and success in these exams

I want ur advice plz. I'm a second year med student and my grades were so bad and low (مقبول) in the 2 years and I got depressed but nevermind. So if I worked hard the remaining 3 years, would these grades affect me to be a doctor aboard. + I know about plab/ukmla and usmle but I can't decide which one is the right for me and more granteed in my situation especially because my low grades and I would be glad if u tell me anything that i should improve or gain to have a good cv. + do I have to do a research or electives like the usmle if i choose plab/ukmla pathway? Do these grades will affect me???

There is sketchy micro and pharm for memorization; however, I don’t think it’s a good resource if you don’t understand both subjects. Boards and beyond is also a good resource for pharm, micro and biochem.

Questions is the best way to review! When you do questions u know what's missing, then writing down what's missing and studying it.

Is it not a good idea to study high yield resources like B&B pathoma & sketchy in medical school is it enough to pass medical school exams? ( IMG)

Definitely a good idea! Do that along with the systems ur already doing in med school.
