Please Dr Fuhrman... We need a video about: Aflatoxin + Heavy metals + Oxalates... In nuts. They look too risky for athelets like me that need to eat a lot on a plant-exclusive diet.

I mean, I'm not dogmatic with macronutrients "you always have to eat xyz forever and ever". Depending on the phase of life you are in you can modulate from 40% carbs all the way to 80% carbs to anything in between. Winter is not the same as summer, etc

I have eaten a mango from a 100 year old tree in India and it was the sweetest mango ever. I wonder if they were hybridizing fruit a hundred years ago in this little town? Maybe so. It is said the Chinese have been hybridizing fruit for hundreds of years.

Gday dr fuhrham… I love following your advice and I’m glad to know why from your videos . The only thing I can’t do is cut out white rice (I eat lots of it)as I find if gives me the energy I require for cycling and physically active work. Soon as I cut it back I struggle ? What do you think about white rice or sugars in athletes or physically active people? Thankyou

Eat it with big salads , nuts and seeds. In this way the fibre and the fats ar going to halt the blood glucose spikes, and will be more healthy that way. I will say, if you are active, is fine for you to eat this type of food.

I wouldn’t eat original food if it looked like it did when they started out. Think how your oranges are grafted so many things but 50 times the sweetness where do you come up with that it would make your teeth fall out if it was that high.💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

I've been working out eating 100% plant and I don't use any supplements except creatine. All of my exercise exercises have increased in weight or repetitions significantly. For example, my first set of deadlifts were at 185 pounds for 10 repetitions and just yesterday I did 275 pounds for 10 repetitions. Both of those sets were to failure. That is less than three months of working out. Oh yeah, and I work out for less than 30 minutes at a time and only once per week using Mike mentzers "ideal routine". And my diet is based off of dr fuhrmans GBOMBS

So glad that you call out the low fat vegans. It’s like religion and not science based. Esselstyn claims that nuts and seeds cause heart disease. Bonkers.

Added sugar is in all processed foods. Processed food manufacturers need to hear from consumers that less ADDED chemicals, sugar, oil and salt is wanted in their food products. Why is there so much ADDED sugar in everything, even bread. That's just crazy Email, text, tweet or phone your favorite producer of poison and let them know consumers want less salt, oils and sugars in their products. Let their customer service department know that all the extra added salt, oil and sugar is not necessary or desired and is causing health issues. Reduce or eliminate highly processed food from your diet if you can. Go vegan for your health, whole food plant based. Go vegan for the animals. Go vegan for the planet. Go vegan and be healthier and happier. A lower risk of heart disease and cancer for you and a better planet for everyone, human and animals. Eating healthy is not a diet it is a healthy life style. Go out and look around. The vast majority of people you see are obese or al least over weight. People do not need to be fat shamed BUT being over weight is not healthy and leads to a host of illnesses. When you look around you can see all the unhealthy people without taking a blood test or a fitness test "NORMAL" for the average American is "UNHEALTHY" The health of society is in decline.

The sugar is there because buyers demand it. If processed food companies did what you asked and offered less sugar, salt, and oil, their processed food would taste like cardboard, and nobody would buy it or eat it. Customers would flock to the processed foods overloaded with sugar, salt, and oil. The answer is not to improve processed foods. The answer is to get people away from processed foods in favor of a variety of natural fruits, nuts/seeds, and vegetables. And mushrooms.
