I had the pleasure of eating at Tony's house last night. Listen to this man he knows what he is doing, AWESOME! Wife bakes a killer chocolate cake. My only complaint is I had to bring my own alcohol.

Well I can say from being in the south, if we are BBQ then it’s beer, if we are sipping on whiskey then no BBQ because that’s a sitting drink not an up and down to the grille! But then again it’s a preference to the person at the end of course! Bud I got say, you have an amazing setup and a beautiful spacious yard. You got a great persona vibration about you bud so you got my subscribe, well done my friend on the hot and fast meal.

Really enjoying your videos! I got the latest version of your smoker for Christmas this year. I used this method to cook some Hawaiian BBQ chicken yesterday. Turned out way better than the propane grill! I really appreciate your style helping us new comers to smoking. I am excited to use what I've learned from your videos for my first smoke on this grill.

Do the ribs come out roughly or still have that beautiful bend?
@TonyToneBBQ7 ай бұрын
Hey Brandon! Thanks for the question! Yeah, this process doesn't yield the same super tender ribs that a slow and low cook would render, but they sure turn out super delicious. Check out the new video I did on grilling ribs if you get a chance. Even though they're not as tender, they're so freaking good. Thanks for watching!

I have a chargriller with no offset . Could you show how to do a slow and low for smoking
@TonyToneBBQ Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and thanks for that request! Yeah, keep an eye on my channel. You might check out some of my other videos that might apply. It is possible to do slow and low without a firebox. Really, the easiest way would be to just build a pile of charcoal or lump cool far to one side and keep your meat far to the other side. It's a little more tricky when using wood though because the only way to add wood is to open the lid. Charcoal on the other hand can burn for two or three hours or more before you need to add. But yeah, I'll see what I can come up with. Thanks again and smoke on!
@ratattack1571 Жыл бұрын
@@TonyToneBBQ cool thanks. I've tried the minion method. But seems to run a little to high
@TonyToneBBQ Жыл бұрын
@@ratattack1571 yeah, the key to the minion method is airflow control. You really need to be able to choke off the air or the charcoal will light up and burn faster than you want it to. Personally, I'm not a fan of allowing large amounts of cold charcoal to light up during the cook. Charcoal gives off an unpleasant odor when starting, which transfers to the food, and you can't avoid this with the minion. Also, wood chucks on top tend to ignite right away and you will get temp spikes.

My fire never stays like yours, not sure what im doing wrong. My coals are hot and my vents are open?
@TonyToneBBQ11 ай бұрын
Hi! Thanks for your comment! How long are your coals staying hot? I find that a chimney full will stay hot for about 1 hour, but it depends on airflow and quality of the product. Have you tried a different brand?

I can tell by the sound of the rib meat being ripped from your bite (38:43) that it was not all that tender. how can u even compare this to actual smoked food? Chicken looked good though
@TonyToneBBQ Жыл бұрын
You're totally right! Definately not as tender as 6-hour cook but tender enough to be SUPER enjoyable at the end of a long day of work in just one hour of cooking, which was the point of this video. If you don't have time to smoke a rack for hours and you're in the mood for some delicious BBQ, this'll do. LOL! But yeah, you're right... no comparison to a long cook. I could have been a bit more clear on making the point. See what happens when you start a video by downing a whole IPA and a double shot of Burbon! LOL!!!
