This worked perfectly. Best roast chicken I've ever cooked.

Have found your videos really helpful Tom having bought the Aldi Kamado a few weeks ago. If you’re looking to save money just grow some oregano in the garden, either planted out or in a pot. Easiest thing in the world to grow and just keeps coming back year after year

Planted loads of herbs this year. Thanks for the advice

Made this yesterday, delicious, the juiciest roast chicken I’ve ever had. Still getting to grips with getting the temperature stable. We roasted our par boiled jersey royals, asparagus, purple sprouting broccoli and mini corn on the cobs in the parsley butter juices. Amazing. Thanks for the advice

Great vid thanks. I get what your saying about the lemon, I have never thought about doing that before. I have only tried to cook a whole chicken once, the smoke left it very pink, and even though I knew that it was cooked to temperature I just couldn’t feed it to my kids. Yours looks lovely and white!
@BBQLIFE2 жыл бұрын
It was I little pink from the smoke but as I didn't add wood it wasn't alot. The lemon is something I picked up from Jamie Oliver years ago, it makes a massive difference

Could you rotisserie this? I realise that basting would be more difficult but I prefer the the even, crispy cooking of the rotisserie.

Of course mate. If you are in facebook or Instagram share how it turned out and tagged me buddy

Thanks for great video. Looks delish. Can I ask...is it OK to use any oven trays in the Kamado? New to BBQing. Regards Bev
@BBQLIFE2 жыл бұрын
Yes you can. I wouldn't use any too thin and not get it too hot either

Hi Tom. Love your channel. I want to but the same paella dish as yours but the link below appears to go to to stainless steel paella dish whereas yours looks ceramic. Is there another link? Also what size is the dish you use?
@BBQLIFE Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately you can't get the same as it doesn't exist anymore. It's a 30cm dish. The link is tbr closest I could find

Hi if you warm up the lemon and then put it in the fridge it don’t make sense
@BBQLIFE2 жыл бұрын
It is better to get it o to the grill as soon as possible but you would be surprised how warm it stays in there
