Hey this video is awesome! I’m subbed now. I have a question: so I started playing last year and I’m going into bantam house next season. Even though I’m the worst in the whole league, I also feel like I’m more dedicated than most, and I work out and practice stickhandling every day. I’m pretty good at skating. I can’t even lift the puck yet though, and we live far away from the rink. Is there any chance I still have time to get to the college playing level? I started playing when I was twelve. Is it possible that I have a chance to make a women’s team in college or is it too late to get good enough? Thanks
@hockeytraining5 жыл бұрын
Never too late to get better, all you can do is keep doing all of the right things. Hop on a hockey training strength and conditioning program, get plenty of ice-time, and practice your skill work at home every day.
@Random-wc3hx4 жыл бұрын
I started at 12 too, but by my second year I was playing bantam travel and house. I'm going on 3 years, as an elite winger playmaker. I'm looking at playing high school hockey and travel both this next year, and the NAHL in two. As long as you grind and keep your focus, you can achieve your dreams

I wanted to watch this because I’ve always wanted to play hockey. My parents wouldn’t ever let me but now that I’m going into high school they’re fine with it. So I’m pretty much trying out for the highschool hockey team with no experience on a team other than street hockey with my friends. I’m good at rollerblading and ice skating with hockey skates but my stick work is not great. Should I still tryout or is it just a lost cause in your opinion?

It'll be a great experience either way. Give it a go and work hard!

tbh as soon as I started to sleep better and workout more and eat alot more protein I went from 124 to 140 pounds. Still trying to get to 165 and then time to maintain and increase cardio. So if you're reading this. What he just said WORKS. Took me about a year (with not the best nutrition tbh)

I need help I have played hockey before like 4-5 years back. How long will it take to get good-elite skill again I need it to be less than two years at least please get back to me
@hockeytraining6 жыл бұрын
This depends on a lot of things -- your natural talent, your meal planning, your training program design, how you define "good elite skill"...among many other things. Instead of focusing on how long it might take, I would start training hard on a real hockey system as soon as possible and make sure your eating and recovery habits are supporting your efforts. Choose the system that is best for you over here: www.hockeytraining.com/programs/

Hey this video helped a lot, but I’ve been trying so hard to get into a routine of training, sleeping better and eating the right foods but it’s just so hard because I am a very picky eater and I’m just not sure what to eat and what dry land training I should do because I’m looking to play high levels of hockey. I’m currently twelve years old and I I’ve been playing hockey since I was four and I played first year peewee b but I’m trying out for peewee aaa this year and I think I can make it I just need to get in a good routine of always training and that kinda of stuff do you have any ways that I can get into a better schedule and commit to training and eating the right foods?
@hockeytraining3 жыл бұрын
Hey Andrew, Don't worry, a lot of people are in your place of not knowing where to start because there are a lot of moving parts. I would recommend joining our Skills Accelerator program so we can coach you ourselves and put everything together in a routine for you to take the guesswork out of it. Check it out here: www.hockeytraining.com/programs
