This is also what we want to do. But we’re so small and sometimes it’s really hard for people to support our creativity, our social media, etc, making it harder to get to the people that would probably be interested in ‘hiring’ us. And sometimes we feel like we’re stuck in between “we might not be that good to contact brands” or “what if they think we’re stupid?” This has opened up a little our mind. Thanks a lot for sharing

You can do it! We spent ages doing things for free or product exchange in order to build a portfolio. Once you have that you don’t need a following if you can prove your work is good enough for them. Then when you do grow you can have the best of both worlds 😊 Sorry for the slow response, we took some time off KZbin but back today!

This is honestly such an awesome vlog, showing the realities of being a content creator! Also that jacket shot has inspired us for sure, we've had a gimble for ages but no idea how to use it. Might be time to learn!
@OurWildHorizons2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! That's exactly what we hoped to show :) Yes, definitely utilise the gimbal, I love using mine to get more professional looking movement shots!

Guys, I’ve just discovered your channel. Whao, such talented content creators. It is clear just how much effort you put in to providing impressive (and authentic) videography. I’m now a subscriber, and look forward to seeing your future posts. 👏🏽 #respect

Well you learn something new on YT every day. I'v always heard the words "Content Creator" and never fully understood what it was or the work that's involved.

Ah thats brilliant, I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Its a job title that I guess hasn't been around for long, social media jobs are still so new and many unknown :) Thank you for watching :)

You guys are so lovely and so inspiring. This video made us feel equally motivated and demotivated just by showing us it's possible but the sheer amount of time and effort that goes is insurmountable. I'm sure it's frustrating when people chalk it up to luck but it's so much more than that!!! Thank you for doing what you love to do and sharing it with us 🥳

Thanks Jack and Jo! Sorry for the slow response, we took the last month off KZbin. There's definitely a lot more going on behind the scenes than people realise but don't let that demotivate you! It's a wonderful job once you move past the free jobs!

I think this is my favourite ever vlog from you guys! So great to watch your journey and you both getting more and more comfortable in front of the camera. Jakes videos and transitions are NEXT LEVEL now. And I did wonder if you shot a mix of landscape and portrait and just resized. I vote for a tutorial on jakes warped perspective reel jumping over the van and more fun video transition ideas.

Aw thanks Kat! Yeah I normally shoot horizontally and then resize it so that I can use it in proper ways too and not just for insta and TikTok. Ooh that’s an idea, I have a few more of those in my head that I need to film soon. Thanks for watching!

Thank you for a lovely vlog. I apologize as I never really understood what involves into a content creator. It’s really interesting. Looks amazing :) Think my photography is soo out dated now Jake compared to yours :( Really enjoyable vlog :) thank you for taking the time to explain in great detail and taking the time to make this video. ☺️🤗💕

Thanks for watching it! It's definitely an exciting new way of making money. Photography is subjective though, I'm sure yours is less dated than you suggest :)
