I’ve Been a stay at home mom for 1.5 years and honestly just now starting to embrace it and enjoy it. I did start working from home because I definitely felt that “missing work” feeling, bUt now with an ACTIVE toddler and another baby on the way I think I’m ready to commit to my calling. This is an opportunity that isn’t available to a lot of women so I had to change my mind set a little bit.

You’re so right Lily! When I started to think about all of the positives about it and that I get to be around my children so much and I get to do all of the things that working parents don’t it really did make me feel grateful as well. Depending on their ages two at home is a dream! Xox

i love the way you explained how things turned around for you! yay :) how are things going now with the new baby, how do you keep your toddler entertained?

Something that helps me as a stay at home mother is naptime! When the children are asleep. I also get some z’s. in as well after all the chores are done :)

I’ve been a stay at home mom for 2.5 years now and at first I struggled with it I honestly didn’t understand it but now with 3 kids and I hard working husband I understand that I am well needed ….. really at first I was worried about the criticism from working moms now I really don’t care what they say

ya i am so glad you feel well needed by your family because its not an easy job AND it benefits your children having an attentive mother who is makes sure they're safe at home! do you ever let family help or babysit? and in what ways do you keep your kiddos entertained im struggling to entertain my 1.5 year old cuz my hubby doesnt want to buy anything haha

I'm a stay at home mom with 6 kids and these tips are so helpful. I've only been staying home for 1.5 years and there's definitely been some ups and downs but I feel like this will help.

I really enjoyed your video! The tips are very helpful and realistic. The tips that I try to use is to structure the day like you suggested. I would be very engaged in activity time, doing some easy chores together time, outside time, dance and music time. I mix the day up with quiet time, reading books time and me time. I find if you are very present and engaged at certain times the kids will allow you some time and quiet to yourself once you set the boundaries. I can’t think of a more challenging job than motherhood. The rewards are endless and so worth every minute!

Loved these tips as I pretty much do them all except use a crockpot. I have a 4 year old and a 1 year old. I have been a stay at home mum the entire time. I give myself 1-2 days off per week by putting the kids in childcare. I don’t have family to help so doing this allows me to have “me time”, go to appointments without kids, have lunch with a friend, spend the entire day at home relaxing or catching up on housework. I also go to a gym with a crèche. This has been a lifesaver. Routine for the kids is also my saviour.

This video has some good tips, but some things I definitely disagree with. The biggest thing is the way this video has basically made a dichotomy between being a present mom and having a clean house. I fell for that for the past year, played with my child constantly but barely cleaned because I felt guilty for it. I was so depressed and I could tell my child also wasn’t as happy because of our cluttered environment. A clean house does matter and you’re not a bad mom for taking the time to clean.

I’ve been a stay at home mom for 5 years now; mom of four; (14, 7,6,5); and -now a single stay at home mom. No help; everyday is like Groundhog Day;- however I totally agree with your comment about how some husbands don’t understand how hard it really is; Honestly that’s the reason I’m a single mom now; but better off than dealing with toxic verbal abuse; “why isn’t this done why isn’t that done? stay at home moms have it so easy”; was his favorite saying”. Nevertheless great tips! Also love your hair tutorial; it has completely helped me. I used to get my hair done 4 times a year. Once I had younger kids the lack of help made me unable to get to salon as much and last few years I would Be lucky if I could get there once a year! That was a drastic Change from the way I used to look. I went from having light blonde hair to having ombre Light brown/ blonde ombre looking hair lol. Now after following your hair video ; not only Saved massive amounts of money ( because 300 was minimum I’d have to pay in NY); this also helped My confidence. You have helped me with the hair tremendously. Oh and your video on cutting kids hair as well! Love all your videos. ❤

I think this was some wonderful advice. I am new to being a stay at home mom so I haven’t had a chance to do this since I had the baby but I have given myself a lash lift in the past and it goes a long way towards feeling good in the morning and looking out together. If you have time for your skincare at night, that as well.

Structure is key!! I agree. You are in charge not the kids !
@RachelKathleen3 жыл бұрын
Right! It’s so simple but sometimes after days on end we forget this fact. The children feel safer and thrive on structure just as much as we do! Helps kids with many behavioural issues as well! Xo

You're so lovely. Eyelash extensions are really bad for lashes. Some people will say otherwise, but it is not natural and it does get in the way of the natural growth of the lash. And look... you look impeccable without fake hair glued to your lashes!

It's not about what he does. It's all about how we manage the finances. We became completely debt free from cars, student loans and credit cards. We settled for a smaller home in a suburban area where it cost less than the city. He's a teacher. He's able to support a family of five with just his income and we still have left over at the end of the month. We budget together and we agree on large purchases when needed. It can be done with being intentional
