It’s like an epidemic, with all these new kids who’ve put in half the time and have good mechanics but have game sense of Forrest Gump trying to understand string theory after landing in an alternate dimension. Only low ranked players do like air dribble and flip reset etc. I mean they are rarely situaationally appropriated.but these new kids actually look at their points and like will just type other people’s numbers into chat not realizing that a perfect team should have all same points I mean it’s just who’s in what position when what opportunity occurs but these new kids who have played 1 game in champ before going on massive losing streak where they blame their tm8s bc they do t save all the goals that are made after he does want anounts to walking over and handing the other team the ball over and over and over snatching it from teammates and just playing like it’s 1s until you make a mistake then those guys are thereto save it so I can go do a ceiling shot flip reset that hangs ball to them on silver platter while they have no boost and essentially dares the flock of real champs in hat they can’t slice one in within the 20 seconds it takes dudes to get boost and get here which they sling around w bit until opening and laser it In to the chat spamming of fit who has a 0.12 saves per game and 0.26assists per game and 8 goals per game average since he literslly is never thete for save unless accident since he’s the ones who perpetually goes for crazy mechanics that look sick but have as much use as a bag of sand when you’re dying of thirst

I should be a higher rank but I'm held back by bad teammates!"... And every time I hear that, I say "if every teammate you get is bad, the common factor is you". I give them basically the same tips you've made in this video, but this just drives home my point even further, and I'll GLADLY be sending this exact video who ever tells me in DMs that "my teammates are all garbage". Just to prove the point that my teammate is crap or annoying. I don’t want to get mad at a game i enjoy playing so it is good to do. As someone who has climbed rank relatively quickly compared to the amount of hours/games played (I'm in Diamond with about 250 total hours played), I know that I mechanically am not as strong as others. However, I offset that by using gameplay knowledge and strategy to keep up with the more mechanically talented guys. I rotate back more, play towards my teammates strong points, and give them all the opportunities to do what they do best. If they are amazing at getting goals, I will look for a cross or a pass to them whenever i can. If they are good at setting up shots, then I will position myself for their passes. If they are godlike goalies, I will play super aggressive. With all that being said, I always put my trust in my teammates to help (even if they have been making bad plays), as I've found out that sometimes only one good team play can be enough of a switch for them to start popping off. Trust your teammates, they want to win as much as you do, so help them as much as you'd want them to help you.

Listen to these tips and play the game smarter not trying to do everything on your own and it will help a lot incorporating your teammates in the plays. Teammates are not always the problem in the game, don’t get me wrong there are some bad ones but not everyone has the same play style, pretty much just adapt to the way they play and rotation is also key. Something I've found valuable is what I think of as something in between the "don't be afraid of passing" and "trust" tips: making yourself available for passes. For example, instead of panicking every time the ball goes behind you, recognize when your 2nd or 3rd player back has an easy, uncontested booming touch ready and place yourself upfield to follow up. Panicking and rotating back in those situations is usually how you get stuck in that loop where no one on your team seems to be able to get the ball hard cleared. Similarly to the double commit situation, you can panic and try to rotate behind them to defend, but at that point you're just making the hard clear impossible. You're really just giving up on your win condition, and playing to not lose.. which is not what makes competitive games fun!
@adamtoth55514 жыл бұрын
So it's NOT my teammate's fault when he: -scores an own goal -misses easy shots -doesn't rotate back in time -makes stupid decisions -blocks me when i'm trying to save a shot -backflips when he's supposed to save an easy shot -double commits -bumps me -ballchases -camps in net for no reason -goes for boost, instead of making an easy save -tries to shoot from a tight angle, instead of passing Thanks, I learned a lot.

Its good that you tried to make this video, bjt this is very inrellevant for golds/plats. The skill gap in gold/plat is so big that you can 1 game get carried, 1 game have a solid tm8, and the other 8 games you get a tm8 who is less experienced or very bad. then you also have the factor of who you play against, which in my experience i play more against people with better chenistry when i solo que, en play against people with less chemistry wheb i play with someone. So if someone says he keeps getting bad tm8s, you dont have to flame him/her bc it can be verytrue

Sustainable Developing I finally got out of plat and reach diamond by doing this. Always be positive in chat and never get toxic no matter how many mistakes happen. Everyone will then play much better. For me this tip is the best a rl player can get
@rudyvasquez93433 жыл бұрын
Something I would like to add would be using quick chat like “go for it” or “I got it” and “defending” Don’t be toxic, be consistent. Great video btw!!

I have also experienced that the titles underneath your name kind of work. For the past month, I've been using the "Reliable Rotator" because I am one and i have had alot better team rotation and overall plays throughout the majority of my games.

I play goalie a lot and I do that little dance where you move back and forth rapidly, but it's not because I'm unsure as to whether I'm going to stay or leave. I do it bc it makes me feel more oriented a lot of the times and also because it makes me feel more at the ready to protect the goal if the ball's coming my way. That may not be the case for everyone, but I think people do this for those reasons as well, not because they're antsy or unsure. It definitely makes me feel more comfortable though maybe it's just an amateur player thing
@abdu83593 жыл бұрын
One thing I remembering hearing (about hesitation) is that your teammates are making decisions based off your body language and what you're doing. So that's helped me with even if I think I'll be beat I need to go because my teammates will be behind me.

Ok so this might have been useful 4 years ago but not nowadays, people know EXACTLY what a flip reset is.
@ralphhogaboom4 жыл бұрын
Jesus christ this is so good. All your videos, man, A++ stuff. Keep it up!
@Reflexlon4 жыл бұрын
I don’t think overdoing flip resets is a problem, you can tell when a play will be a solo play or a pass. So tip 5 is really more for players below high c3. A good or decent player will be able to tell when a solo play will be made and know you don’t have to push at all, just wait for nothing to happen or a cleanup goal. He’ll also know that even if it looks like he missed the “air dribble” as you mentioned, going for a double commit like that will result in the opponents scoring. I think it would be better to tip not going for every ball on offense and waiting to see how a play develops. Being patient is also something truly important.
@rzsz4914 жыл бұрын
but also not TOO patient lol. Rocket league is so hard for anyone trying to get better. So many little tidbits which make the game harder to learn

I completely agree except that trust is different for different ranks. For example I recently went from d1 (an all time low for the last while) to c1 and the biggest difference was trust. In champ I would spread as far out giving them the most space to pass to me and giving myself the most time with it, but in d1 I needed to stay closer because the vast majority of tm8s couldn't pass well enough across the field, if they passed at all (as their awareness isn't as good). Same with defense. In champ when one person goes for a save the other m8s go to either get boost or follow up, but in diamond you had to stay closer in case a save was botched and not spread to pass to a tm8 as often they wouldn't be passed to.
@cruelbuckle62714 жыл бұрын
Yeah d1 is trash all around i was stuck in plat for a year because i would get teammates that would miss a ball going 20 mph towards the net only difference between gold and diamond is they can hit the ball higher up lol
@alphacat11784 жыл бұрын
I thought of an idea you could do for a video/s. Basically, you get two clips, different levels of gameplay (say grand champion against plat or diamond) that are roughly in the same clip and you compare the differences between the two levels in the clip (how the better rank was in a better position or how they approached the play in a better way). Similar to a regular analysis, but you’re comparing clips from two completely different skill levels. May not be a great idea but it’s my suggestion!

Solo queuing should have its own lobby. I love solo queuing as it adds an entire different dimension. To be able to be adaptable to many different play styles and having that critical pattern learning in the first 30-60 seconds of each game. It makes you think more as you need to pay 100% attention to all 3 other players in doubles and try to see their play styles then amend yours to combat theirs.
@ecb1164 жыл бұрын
Most important. Dont be toxic to your teammates. Even if it is clearly their fault.
@ballercm19944 жыл бұрын
ecb116 exactly, I did this and finally got out of plat. In diamond it feels like my teammates are much better anyway. This is clearly the best tip though imo

Also! Be nice your teammate. I even compliment my opponents when they make a play or score. It's like some psychcy sort of effect. I've noticed that if I say "Sorry!" Or admit fault (my bad), or reinforce my mates with a "Great Pass!" it seems to go a long ways. Plus, it makes the game so much more enjoyable. Even if I'm in a 1-4 situation I still try to compliment my opponents or teammate and stay positive. I learned this the hard way when my account got match made and communication banned for a few hours. I got shown what I said (yeah, pretty innapropriate and rude stuff, so now I just chat with the default settings or type something simple. All in all, come in with good energy all the way through and know beforehand that it's going to be a fun, competitive match. I sound quirky asf but this has been working wonders for me, especially since the gold/plat community can be so toxic at times.
