May Allah guide my future husband to lower his gaze. May Allah keep him away from girls. May Allah preserve his heart for me only. May Allah make me the most beloved person to him and the most beautiful in his sight. May Allah keep him on the straight path. May Allah keep him away from haram relationship and every other haraam. May Allah make him truthful, honest and pure hearted. May Allah protect him from backbiting. May Allah beautify his speech and character. May Allah make him worthy of having me and make him the best husband for me. May Allah guide him to lower is eyes even when he gets married to me, may he never think of another woman and stays loyal with me. May Allah protect him and guide him, May Allah accept all his jaiz duas and make him financially independent. May Allah make him righteous and pious. May Allah keep him healthy and fulfil his dreams. Aameen

While i agree with this, it misses out on a very important dimension. The way a man's weekness is 'to see', a woman's weakness is to be seen. Its in their nafs and its in our nafs. We were never the same. That's why women find it easier to lower their gaze and men find it easier to wear full coverage clothing and basically not being seen, because that is not the primary nafs that calling onto them and luring them away. I just think this should have been mentioned too, because we as women struggle too and that men might not understand/know that this is a test to us. Islam makes our heart and spirit stronger with the rules it has, it pushes us to fight our nafs and live with discipline .

Touché. You’re pretty spot on, I as a man haven’t thought of it from this angle - in fact, even with all the brothers I’ve spent a lot of time with, this hasn’t been discussed to the core. Whilst a woman may or may not get the urge to ‘see’ in a lustful manner too, the weakness you mentioned makes a ton of sense. Also it’s quite beautiful if you think about it in a way that if one of the parties play their part in securing their haya and fearing Allah, it automatically secures the opposite gender as well from falling into sin.

@unit4593 The reason that many people don't know about this is because women tend to deny it, they think that if they admit this, it's basically saying they like being objectified by men(which is not true). What it means is that they like being admired for their beauty, and if we are observant enough, we can notice this weakness very easily. 1) In any event, women are always dressed in the most glamourous way, basically competing with each other(to be the most admired/prettiest in the room). Taking the example of a celebrity event like the met gala, literally every woman is in big, crazy dresses, trying to make the headlines, while all the men are basically wearing the same suit just in different colours 2) Hoors in Jannah are said to be very beautiful, and it is mentioned that believing women will be more beautiful than the hoors in Jannah. So intrinsically, reward for men in jannah is women (hoors), while the reward for women is literally beauty. (Obviously, there will be many other gifts for us in paradise, but this is pertaining to just what has been mentioned) There are so many things women don't know about men either, and it's truly ming boggling to me that instead of trying to understand each other, most people are busy fighting gender wars. I like studying the psychology of men and women and trust me, that if everyone knew these things, gender wars wouldn't exist and conflict between husband and wife would almost diminish to a very small amount. Men and women are like pieces of a puzzle. We are VERY different from each other, but we just complete each other in the most beautiful way. That's the reason that modern feminism is absolute bull-poop. We'll never be 'equal' because for 2 things to be equal, they need to show a great deal of similarities, which men and women don't. We are different in almost every aspect.

@@Ayesha-tl4xk Affirmative. we’re on the same page. To encapsulate what you said, a woman’s beauty is a test from God. The first three sentences of your last paragraph conveyed it nicely too. There’s humongous wisdom behind the fact that marriage completes half of the Deen - a woman and a man getting together in marriage completes half of the deen. Point to ponder upon. Human psychology is certainly part of my arsenal as well - Not just because I necessarily like it but because how useful and beneficial it can be to deal with the opposite gender when needed and the same gender even, for all the good reasons ofc. I personally know men that have subconsciously secluded themselves from women to the point that they’re ultimately stuck in a loophole of almost perceiving women as different beings; whilst believing they’re doing a good job of staying away from non-mehrams. Whenever I get asked by other brothers about how I’d approach a woman in marriage, I simply them to know enough about who you’re marrying and it’ll all unfold in the easiest of manners. There’s psychological aspects that we might never be able to catch that are innate part of the opposite gender, but that’s exactly what creates this delicate touch of distinction between the two. And I’d rather not even mention feminism in its current state, it’s laughable to say the least. Edit: now that you’ve mentioned modern feminism, I’d shed some light on the red pill movement, that’s basically urging young men to look at women as a tool for intercourse only. They simply use this term ‘recreational use’ for women - that should give you a good idea of it. The number of young men that are sold into this shithousery is bonkers. Instead of understanding and comprehending each other realistically, we’ve created this major dichotomy between males and females through feminism and red pill mindsets, consequently. Hence the peaking divorce rates in the west and what not. These filthy ideologies and movements are gradually absorbing young Muslims too, and that’s the most concerning part of it.

@unit4593 100% beauty is a test for women. And this can also be seen when she grows old, I know many women who start showing insecure tendencies in their behavior. That's why women should develop other skills and hobbies, too, than just make their face their whole personality, which in turn makes them shallow beings. I feel like men feel a more significant pressure to be a certain way to be desired by women, while for women, just being pretty is enough to be desired by men, lol. I used to struggle with this, too, I used to think why do I need to work on being better when I already garner so much male attention without lifting a finger. Only when I started wearing the hijab, I was able to leave this stagnant mindset (because obviously a fully covered woman gets less male attention). In many ways, hijab is a blessing. It quite literally forces us to self validate instead of looking for it elsewhere, which is quite relieving tbh. People who are a part of feminism or the red pill movement are just selfish. They don't want to think about the other side, so they just choose movements like this, which only benefits them. I found out about the red pill through reddit randomly, and it was quite shocking to see how disrespectful they were being to women. But that also made me realise that modern feminist women are the same, too, just on the other side. Both are straight up disrespectful to the other gender. I heard someone say this, that there is misogyny and feminism which are both extreme, and right there in the middle is our beautiful islam, which honors everyone. (Also, if you're interested in how men and women think, you'd like this book 'Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus' by John Gray. It is not a psychology book, but it very beautifully encapsulates how we think differently and how we might interpret some things as offensive when the other gender sees nothing wrong with it. It's actually a relationship book for couples, but it helps if you're unmarried, too. I like reading such books (or podcasts) because I want my marriage to be successful from the beginning itself, lol. Many marriages go through a phase where they don't understand each other at all and just go with it because otherwise, it would lead to fights. Then all this frustration keep building over and over again to the point that they start resenting each. Definitely don't want to experience that, so I'll take all the knowledge that I'll get.)
