Great insights. I'm transitioning from 18 years of IT business development (sales) to BA. I just signed up for the CBAP program. I'm worried about the documentation work tbh!

Hi, In your full training, do you also show how to apply various techniques in the requirements analysis like use case diagrams or workflow diagrams. This is really important to know because if you just show what techniques can be used without actually showing the “how” then yeah I am not quite sure it brings many benefits, as one can find many resources where it is theoretically mentioned what can be used when, but the real values in such trainings is to also apply them in a scenario to actually show all the intricacies of these techniques. I am asking this on purpose - to decide whether to enroll for the training, so I will be very thankful if you provide me feedback. Thanks 🙏🏻

Could you kindly give some examples indicating how to interact differently around developers, stakeholders, project managers.. as a BA needs to get different things out of them..

In my opinion that it’s not exclusive. It can widely vary according to the project’s nature and deliverables. If the project includes specific indicators where they have to be shown in an specific format with an specific math calculation, then so be it, but definitely it would not be a must. However, knowing how to analyze data and show it properly will help you help the team to take better decisions within the project timelines, and definitely would be a “win-win” situation.

Do you need a degree to become a BA?

Helped me get into the field having no prior experience. But if you have lots of SQL experience, excel and a knack for analysis you may be able to bypass the degree part
