It's interesting because I know that I "achieved" happiness years ago and the way you mention happiness being all around you is how I've felt it. It's not as if I'm always in a state of joy, but I'm always able to appreciate what's here. Either how colorful that person's clothes are, or how interesting my agitation is, or how wonderful it is to see someone in their element tending their shop, there is always something in my experience worthy of appreciation within or without, always something to bless and be grateful for. And I feel so easily filled with love for all of the people places and things, especially when I step out of concern for this or that having to do with me or my opinions here or there.

You describe it so perfectly and that's so great because it's almost undescribable, this feeling of overflowing of Joy. It makes life so magical. What works for me is my simple philosophy : I am always in the right place and time, otherwise I would be somewhere else... Then being in curiosity and exploring what is the gift ready to unpack?Aat the same time my curiosity is the very good disguised egotrap (she's so clever) , just being so eager and impatient. And then that's the gift to unpack....
