Your last point is SPOT ON. Play through the mistakes and use your ear to navigate back to a chord tone. That has saved me so many times. *Stay locked into the rhythm and let your ear guide you* ~ Jiminy Cricket (probably)

I'm just getting into learning triads and have watched dozens and dozens of videos. This is the first time I've seen anyone show that all the chords in a key are available as triads in one shape. What an important thing to know! Andrew, you are an excellent teacher. Thank you for producing such high quality content.

I’d also say that pushing yourself is for practice. With witnesses around, play the stuff you know in your sleep and focus on playing it with feeling.

You really hit the big ones! The playing with other people point really helped me, I was absolutely sure I'd reached a dead end a year into playing and I went to a youth Jam group, and played my first ever solo with them, hit about a 60/40 right to wrong note ratio but it didn't sound as bad as I thought, and it really put me back on the learning path! Great video 😊

It’s not fear that prevents me from playing well, it’s my sheer inability to comprehend how the six wires tightly strung across 22 frets that frustrates the absolute crap outta me

As in the lesson, everything is in one position.... The fretboard repeats at the double dots (12th fret). 🎸

Andrew, your videos have absolutely elevated my playing to levels I never had thought possible. After 30 years being content (read, stuck) playing chords and tabs, I have learned to embrace SCALES. You taught me the why and the how of them succinctly. Now I'm hooked on music theory (what?!). I enjoy watching and rewatching your videos, but are there any books on guitar music theory that you'd recommend? I'd love to have the concepts you cover in print to have as a reference. Thanks!

What tips with guitar will make me seem the coolest? I started gtr cause this girl I like likes guitar, but I don't think she likes me yet. Any tips?😊

Don't take a shower for 3 months, wear the grungiest clothes you can get your hands on, learn to play a G major chord, and hummm a gentle oOoOoOoOoO over top of that. If that doesn't work, to get the gurl, put the guitar away.
@lilnutty68213 ай бұрын

😂😂 don't listen to @ByTheSpirit84 he's definitely joking 😅 If impressing a girl is your goal, then I'd suggest learning a couple songs. A really good one to start with is Wonderwall by Oasis. So get all the basics of guitar down first, then once you know some chords and you're comfortable strumming, get working on some songs. Hope that helps :)
