Quality poses! I've recently acquired Tarkin, but as much as I'd like to have a go with him seated, I worry about bending his legs and having his trousers be pulled out of his boots, causing them to be wrinkled when the legs are straightened again.

Step 1 is removing that useless wire in the tunic. Simply using some double-sided tape and pressing the tunic against the shin armor will drastically make it look more natural. I definitely have the cape completely drape over one side of the body. That will make your Vader look much more dramatic and badass than having both arms exposed.
