Vancouver's nightlife does suck though.. the skytrains end around 1:30 AM so your only choice is to hitch a ride home or cab it, which is EXTREMELY pricy if you live in Surrey or surrounding cities. We don't even have uber. Drinks are also too overpriced. Also the main clubs and bars end wayy too early which is 2-3 AM. Everything ends early here it really sucks. Europe's nightlife i hear is 1000x better and they close later and its just better vibes there.

I've lived in (west) Kelowna since '99. It has turned into a retirement home in the past 10 years. Food and housing have doubled in price. Gas is at least 10-15 cents/L higher than Vancouver. The population is 75% stingy seniors, 10% struggling young adults and cokeheads below the "poverty" line, and 15% wealthy visiting Albertans. There's more condos with golf courses than houses and almost nothing is left undeveloped. It is damn near impossible to get a job here unless you have prior experience or a solid degree. It's beautiful to visit, but not to live in. Is there a U.S. equivalent to this?
